       “i need silence.” charles simply stated as he looked out onto the street, trying to move his mind past all of the screams so that he could find the one responsible for wreaking HAVOC on his city.

so!!!! i’m molly and i’m 15 and i’m awesome and we should totally make friends!

with a few final punches being thrown into the training dummy lincoln was training with, he turned around, wiping off his sweat with a towel as he greeted the person who had been trying to grab his attention. ❛ what’s up? ❛

“Hey! Uh, could you teach me, like, how to punch- properly?” Molly asked, staring up at him. She could hit hard, sure, but she didn’t know anything about technique. “That would be awesome.”

rictor squirmed slightly, shifting his weight on the couch to get more comfortable - his mind wanted him to shift towards star, leaning into his touch but he pushed that thought out of his mind. they were just watching a movie, just being friends. “ many people love it ! “ he explained as the title sequence came onto the screen. 

star was a strange man, there were many things he didn’t understand about him but in the end julio just learned to go along with his strange demands - like his constant need for entertainment when they were at home. “ okay so get ready for some kick-ass action ! “ he exclaimed as poured the popcorn into the bowl and walked over to the couch. rictor plopped down next to star, passing off the food to him so he could press play. “ I know - I trust you too. “

remy sat at the bar with his usual pack of playing cards shuffling between his two hands and a glass of rosé sat inches away. half heartily watching the game on the tv with his short attention span growing ever shorter by the loud crowds gathering behind him. losing focus for a moment a card shot from the pack straight towards a random glass. he heard a  smash and immediately knew he’d messed up. setting the rest of the cards down and picking up his wine glass to assess his drunken mistake ‘’I do apologies, chéri, let me buy you another.’’

Shatterstar had decided to try going out on his own- no teammates, no Julio- to a bar for the first time. He’d been to them before, of course, but never without a tempering influence of one of his comrades. Now, though, he figured he could do with a drink. Not that it would do much to him, given his healing factor. He’d just gotten his first one when a playing card came from no where- no, of course, when he heard the voice and saw the face, he knew exactly where it had come from. “Remy. Yes, I would appreciate that.”

rictor pushed open the door of their place, it seemed like there was no one else home which was good for the duo since they didn’t have to worry about the others coming and disturbing them during the movie. the brown haired man quickly plucked the movie from his room and threw it onto the couch. “ put that in and i’ll start the popcorn. “ he rattled out as he made his way into the kitchen, pulling out the last bag of popcorn and moving it into the microwave. “ trust me - you’ll love it. “ he exclaimed at star as he readied a bowl for the food. 

“ kissing me without my permission dude ! “  he exclaimed as he ran a hand through his white blonde hair. “ yeah - happens when he’s my uncle. “

“It was, at least, a good kiss.” He said, raising an eyebrow. “Oh, you are Billy’s twin, but not? I met him, once. When your mother restored Julio’s powers.”

“Look you can’t just go around kissing people with out there permission.” she told him. “not all the time dude.” 

“I apologise. May I have your permission to kiss you again?” He asked, smirking slightly.

kate just shook her head, “right, that’s very nice of you. mutant or not, we all need to stick together right?” she gave a small smile. “yay for julio!” she added with a laugh.

Things like this did confuse Shatterstar a little- there was just no action involved, and he was bored. At least it was an experience he hadn’t had before. “We do, indeed.” He smiled brightly, and then offered his hand to her. “Would you like to dance? I appear to have lost him.”

          “yeah – real smart. gettin’ all the SUPER FRIENDS and their supporters together in one place doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all. i mean, what could go w r o n g ?”

“If there is some kind of problem, it is not like we’ll be hard pressed to deal with it.” Shatterstar shrugged. He might be in a suit, but his swords were still up his sleeves, ready to go.

“okay so we’re just gonna pretend..yeah okay, i was planning on it.” she said, nodding, “i think most of the city is, are you?” 

“Pretend what?” Shatterstar asked, completely oblivious. “Yes. I am... not a mutant, though it is easiest to consider me one, and my best friend is one. If there is to be a party about relations between humans and mutants and the encouragement of mutants then I must attend. I would like to encourage Julio in all ways.”
