Visual Communications - Assignment | Creating my own typeface

Discription:

TheTHICKENING typeface is derived from an (Alfred Roller, 1902) poster for the sixteenth Vienna Secession exhibition. He had letters that were reduced to curved corner rectangles with slashing curved lines to define each character. TheTHICKENING is a more subtle, modern and more of a playfull version. Curved all around, with the rectanguler shape slightly visible to express the playfullness of each character.

(Alfred Roller 1903) (designer and illustrator), Ver Sacrum calendar for November. An exuberant border brackets a seasonal illustration, “Letzte Blätter” (Last Leaves), and hand-lettered, rectangular numbers and letters.
