This date night thing is a real thing. Sometimes the week is messy and we don't always get along, but we make a it priority to do just us. Our kids are so use to it that my daughter @brii.swagg called me at work asking if I wanted to "take mommy on date night?". Left work at 5pm drove to Xavier baseball game (he balled out...check the story), came home, took a quick shower, and here we are. The picture was taken from a video; it was right after the cardiologist told me I had a heart condition called Nonischemic Cardiomyapathy. I was so afraid and all I thought about was history repeating itself with my dad dying when I was 2. I didn't want to leave my wife and kids stranded without a husband and father. I walked around in a daze for weeks , thinking how could this happen to me? GOD, what's the lesson!? I was angry and scared, feeling I have so much more to do. Maybe its a family curse, I felt sorry for myself, but I tried my best to put on a strong front, but my wife knew the truth. She witnessed me privately. I prayed so much, GOD and I have continuous conversation [prayer]. The treatment: prayer and two medication to lower the strain on my heart to allow it to hopefully repair, We had to ramp up the dose to the max gradually to see how I could handle it. I also had to change some things in my lifestyle, Had to make some shifts in my diet, alcohol intake and pay close attention to my body reactions when I ate certain foods. Luckly my body responded well to treatment. I'm happy to report that my 2nd Echocardiogram came back all clear. Praise GOD 🙏🏿.
