Furthermore, I ask that you do not impose any axioms on me, no matter how sacred they may be in your eyes, as this is a matter that does not concern me at all. I also do not believe that discussion alone is sufficient to change ideas; rather, I still hold the radical conviction that solitude, reflection, and contemplation are the true catalysts for such change.

Moreover, I believe in the importance of a person having an opinion, whatever it may be, and that this often entails responsibility and punishment from society, and it should not give rise to any sense of entitlement.

For those who don't know, Freethinkers were groups of people who had socialist and communist beliefs. In Texas, there were several communes founded by Freethinkers such as Sisterdale after Freethinkers had immigrated there to flee from political and religious tyranny. These communes had thriving communities of Freethinkers and were largely secular.

(Freethinkers weren't exclusive to America and originated from Prussia, during the Age of Reason.)

I mostly know about the Freethinkers as I discovered this topic from this video:

It's a great video and well-researched but it is limited to Texas. Hence why I've been reading about Freethinkers from elsewhere.
