here's an ask where i talked more in depth abt clothes references and here's another where i talk abt backgrounds. lately i've been enjoying frankenstein-ing 3d primitives & premade objects together to make weird spaces in the pit + looking at piranesi drawings lol

thank you! i do! I look at clothes from like the mid-late 1400s whenever I need costumes for the nameless prisoner! but sometimes I go earlier/later/completely different if it fits what I need and looks congruous enough… & idk if this counts as “research” but I had some dark souls art books I flipped thru when I was first planning the comic & thinking abt costuming, I like how fromsoft approaches the medieval high fantasy thing in a way that like… has historical specificity but not accuracy, all in service of the design ykwim… does this makes sense lmfao. bc I wanted there to be hennins but also for lorn to wear pants. I felt like looking at their stuff might give me some insight on how to make that work

tnp update on webtoon and tapas

It’s pretty consistent across projects: I have the first ~40% loosely outlined, with the opening scenes scripted, and then the very very ending nailed down. then I start drawing, and scripting scenes as I get to them, and filling out the middle as I get closer to it. I learn a lot about the plot as I’m actually making the comic. so for tnp I have those outlines for like “book 1,” and then again on a larger (and a bit vaguer, tbh) scale for the comic as a whole :)

I don’ttt, I have a hard time imagining those sorts of things unfortunately 😭 edit: also omg thank you, i appreciate it!
