I don’t think I need to give anyone a wordy spiel about why we’re doing this, so the short of it is that I’d like to see to it that black educators, activists and community projects are funded for the important work they do. I’m honestly blown away that people are so excited for us to reopen. However I have to reiterate. 4th of July is the date set by the government to potentially open. That is subject to change forwards and backwards. Am I a bit steamed that pubs will be likely to open a full 2 weeks before we can? A little... OK, maybe a lot. Like a lot of people, spent the recent times feeling a bit lost and, the pressure to do something creative with my time really sucked the fun out of it. But today was different, after helping a few friends out with other projects it freed me up to do some interesting experimentation. I’ll be doing a bit of a capsule collection for the shop, exploring industrial and dystopian themes. This garment started as a bit of a deriliqué joke, but I ended up loving the final outcome.
