Parrot slowly stepped into their place, cradling a sleeping Phoenix against his chest. The toddler was unharmed... and neither was Parrot.

He carefully sat on the edge of the bed, wings drooping as he let out a heavy sigh of relief.

"...He's home... I got him back..." Parrot's voice shook a little as he spoke, eyes watering as he stared at his sleeping son.

Theo embraced the both of them in a hug, wings rushing to curl around them. He was so glad to have the warmth of Parrot and his child against him, so glad to be able to see his baby's eyes.

"thank god your okay... did you get hurt? is pheonix hurt? do you guys need anything?" like always, theo is on his feet, ready to grab anything they might need. he was just so glad to have them back in his arms again.

"Neither of us are hurt, don't worry... Nova held to her word."

Parrot offered a tired smile, giving Theo a quick kiss before melting into his embrace. Phoenix reached out for his father's face, tiny hands gently patting Theo's cheeks.

"Phoenix is fine too... we're okay.. let's just relax for now, alright?"

theo smiled softly at parrots kiss, leaning against him aswell. he felt as if his entire body was buzzing with energy, but he supposed if parrot wanted to relax for now he could try to calm his nerves . his wings ruffled up in excitement at just the situation, at having their kid back.

Parrot smiled as he watched Phoenix's little hands mess with his father's face, chuckling a little. He leaned his head against Theo's shoulder, gently ruffling Phoenix's hair.

"...I'm just glad we're all together again... I'm not letting anything tear us apart anymore."

a grin creeps into theo's face. maybe things were finally looking better for them all. maybe they could actually get through this together. "nothing will seperate us on my watch bro.."

Parrot chuckled, closing his eyes and relaxing a little more.

Phoenix, however, immediately perked up at the word "knight." His eyes sparkled as he started babbling.

"Knight!! I wanna be knight!! Me and dad be knights!!"

Theo blushed slightly at the praise from parrot, and almost jumps when pheonix perked up- spooking him. he laughed at his babbling and insisting, enjoying how much the kid was interested in being a knight. "maybe when ur older i can teach ya buddy"

He let out a long sigh, setting the note on his desk before getting into bed and laying face down on it.

theo had been sitting at the small desk in the room , but when parrot came in and plopped down on the bed theo moved over to sit on the edge of the bed next to him. theo runs his fingers through parrots hair, looking out the window to only see the dark caves . even if they were trapped down in the dark , theo was glad that atleast one of their problems were being solved . "that's a relief," theo says, glancing down at parrot and laying a wing over the macaw.

Careful not to disturb him, Parrot gently cupped Theo's face in his hands and stared. He tried to commit every last detail of Theo's appearance to memory... because while he tried to push the thoughts away, the idea of losing Theo always haunted him... so he'd try his best to make sure he could always remember Theo clearly...
