From Armani hotels to Ralph Lauren coffee shops, a fashion houseās remit no longer ends at accessories. The latest designer diversification comes from luxury French marque Louis Vuitton, which is turning its hand to publishing with the launch of a biannual glossy magazine entitled The Book.
Donāt expect however to see The Bookās first cover ā featuring Charlotte Gainsbourg, the muse of Vuitton's artistic director of womenswear Nicolas GhesquiĆØre ā on newsagent shelves any time soon. The magazine will be translated into 11 languages and sent to āselect customersā globally, WWD reports.

The debut, launching in October, includes an atmospheric menswear spread shot in Iceland by Peter Lindbergh, an interview with Catherine Deneuve, Juergen Tellerās backstage shots from the Cruise 2015 show and a look into the brandās archive in a feature which explores the story behind Vuittonās Keepall monogram bags. The Book is edited by Sylvia Jorif, head of fashion news at French Elle, with art direction by Yorgo Tloupas, one of the founders of Intersection Magazine.
