Now that spring break is over and exams are approaching, I feel like its really easy to get caught up in the small things; that lower grade on a test or anything slightly stressful that’s been going on, and although I’m the most stressed out person EVER, I’ve come to the realization that I will be okay. Things will sort themselves out and at the end of the day, getting a lower grade on a test won’t really matter. In the grand scheme of things, it’s only a number that does not define who you are as a person, don’t let numbers, whether its on a test or even on a scale, define you. You are going to be okay, just focus on the things that actually matter and things will get better. Some day when you’re older, you’ll look back and realize how it really is not worth stressing over the petty things. Remember that whatever it is that you’re going through right now is temporary, you will be okay.

While sipping some mint green tea and listening to Twenty one pilots in my bedroom, I thought if I didn’t write express my thoughts somehow, I would eventually explode, so I decided to write some incoherent thoughts in my journal and share them with the world. 

This has been going on in my mind for the longest time now, and the truth is that while a lot of us (or is it just me) spend so much time and energy trying to plan the future and just being so stuck thinking about who we want to be, we lose what we have right in front of us; our youth. Why focus so hard on what will happen next, if we aren’t be able to enjoy the ride. It is okay that we dont have everything figured out just yet, we have so much ahead of us, and I came to the realization that if I keep focusing on the future or the past, the present will just go by in the blink of an eye.
