Hey! So, I don't know if I should ask you this, but I'm gonna. I'm wondering how you would reimagine Harry x Eggsy as Hades and Persephone.
I am always up for receiving things in my inbox. Canât guarantee youâll always like whatever my response is, but Iâm never going to tell you not to send something in.Â
That said, Hades!Harry and Persephone!Eggsy are such precious little gems. In modern times, because thatâs the kind of trash I am. Modern trash.
So Harry is the Lord of the Underworld, dressed in bespoke suits from Savile Row because if he has to walk around in the dark, gloomy underworld and socialize with dreary, dead souls, he might as well do it in style. Heâs on politely stilted terms with his brother Chester, who thinks heâs quite mighty with his lightning, but is quite behind the times and has no control over his children. Merlin, who Harry likes to rile up by commenting that his head is as shiny as the sun he rules over, is one of the few who speaks regularly with Harry. Rarely, Roxanne tags along with Merlin, her bow and arrow slung on her back.
Then one day, Harry receives a visit from Eggsy.
(âI hear you owe my family a favor,â Eggsy says, and looks at tiny, adorable Mr. Pickle wagging his tail. âAre all hellhounds this small?â
âHe can grow bigger if I need him to be,â Harry says. âWhat do you need?â)
Eggsy turns out to need a place to crash at for a while. Heâs always been a bit of a troublemaker, sneaking off with Roxanne under her moonlight, causing mayhem as they please. Apparently his mother is quite cross with him, as are many of the citizens of the land, so heâs laying low in the one place his mother will never find him.
And Harry doesnât expect Eggsy to stay very long, at first. The underworld is very dull, nothing like what Eggsy might enjoy. Yet, Eggsy doesnât seem very bored by the gloomy monotony of the underworld. In fact, he seems fascinated by everything, by Harry in particular. Harry finds himself warming up to the boy.
He explains to Eggsy, who is a little muddy on past affairs, that Michelleâs hatred towards Harry is rooted in the incident where Harry had to collect her husbandâs soul against her wishes. Lee had only been mortal, and heâd died a swift death when Eggsy was still very young, before Michelle had a chance to grant him immortality. Lee had been an interesting man. Harry feels a pang of regret even today, when he thinks about him.
When he tells all this to Eggsy, heâs relieved to hear that Eggsy doesnât blame him.Â
And though Eggsy doesnât belong in this world, because heâs full of life, in the green of his eyes, the warmth of his hands, Harry wants to keep him. Wants to kiss those red lips and spread those lovely legs and find out what Eggsy sounds like when Harry is deep inside him.
Sometimes, he can almost believe that Eggsy wants to be kept.
When Chester, fed up with Michelleâs fury drying up the land, demands that Harry release Eggsy, Harry looks at Eggsy and tells him that he canât keep him. There is nothing to bind Eggsy here.
(âWell, Iâve been stealing your pomegranate seeds,â Eggsy says, his mouth red and sweet against Harryâs, filled with the taste of fruit, his eyes full of mischief. âDoes that count?â)
Eggsy leaves, only to gather his things and move into Harryâs home.
