Princess Kittrina has begged Queen Lyra for a divorce from her husband - and Queen Lyra has granted it. But this is Halfmoon, and they a royal couple. Politics is at its worst when politicians try to control the lives - and hearts - of those bound by magic to lead them.

Jax comes to get Sonya out of detention, only to find out the agents are detaining him, too. Or, well, they think they are. Johnny hates his hotel room and hates being alone. He thinks too much when he's alone. (Also, this whole thing means he has to wear pants.)

Thank you to @dei2dei for her patience on this fic. It was suppposed to have been done on 2024, but my notebook got stolen - along with the last half of this story. She encouraged me to finish this for CageBlade Week 2026, and I'm glad I did. I've had a lot of fun writing it and revising what I have written.

Magic changes the magician. Always. Magic has a price. Always. And the battles they once fought are the battles they will fight again. A principality hangs in the balance of a war between cultures. Between conquerors. But those who stand for honor and champion freedom have not yet begun to fight.

So here it is, y'all. Good news. Bad news. The good news is, a lot happens in this chapter. The bad news is that a lot happens in this chapter. My beta suggested I split the chapter when it breached 20k words. She's right. So. One more chapter of Salineas next week.

Some moments you hoped for. Some moments you probably dreaded. And I know some of you aren'tgoing to be happy with who lives and who dies. But! Four - maybe five Halfmoon chapters await you. When we leave Halfmoon again, will be striding into the reunion sequence. The chapters after that will culminate in new battles. Higher stakes.

Adora must face Commodore Petrus and then repair the Sea Gate; but there are more plans and plots afoot in Salineas than anyone knows.

Posted early so that the chapter lands on Yuri Day. Because reasons. We have at least one more chapter of Salineas. Sadly, it might take three chapters to resolve the mess I made of Salineas. But it will be a fun resolution for most of you.

CageBlade Week 2026. 2025 was a mess of a year for me and I only got one story out. (Sad.) This year, I couldn't write anything I liked, despite some fairly decent ideas. So I have reached back into the days of yore (2024) and decided to finish a fic I started then that I really do like.

It's me, so you know. Soulmate tropes. Found family. Conspiracies. Maybe a cult or three.

Adora has to leave her new home and regroup…but that's getting harder and harder to do.

Adora arrives in Salineas to find the war and a surprising new ally. Glimmer arrives in Salineas to discover her own growing reputation, a political disaster, more proof Adora is a menace - And the Far Sea Traders are going to be more of a problem than they knew.

Whelp. Here we are. Salineas. This is the prelude to the end. I cannot predict how long this sequence will be, but I can tell you that Salineas is going to be as political as it is violence. The rage of war and the quiet desperation of negotiations are going to wreak havoc.

But Salineas is only the beginning. Because after Salineas - and a look into the Horde alongside visiting the chaos of Halfmoon - we enter into the final story for Arc II. And as I have promised, the end of Arc II is the reunion.

Casta and Kesi found Glimmer, Bow, Adora, and Scorpia waiting in the rain. Yet <em>another</em> storm assails the surface. And Kesi <em>finally</em> finds herself face to face with the women is both the culmination and proof of prophecy - of faith made manifest in a world at war. And the woman who her princess is in love with. That was the easy part. The hard part will be somehow convincing her she is more than 'just Adora.' And that Catra is waiting for her - and desperately needs Adora to come home to Halfmoon

So. This week is the two year anniversary of posting Defiance. Back then, I didn't even know it was going to be a series. Now...well, y'all know.

So it's exciting for me to post this chapter today. Adora is meeting Kesi - her first real contact with someone from Halfmoon. Someone with knowledge of Catra. Someone who can tell her all of the things that will be so very hard for her to believe. You might be surprised how long it took me to write the summary for this chapter. (Then again, you might not.)

Two years. 104 weeks. Over a million words. Over a hundred chapters. And so many side stories. With more to come!

Two stories? In one day? ...sometimes.

They grew up in the same creepy orphanage together - until they didn't. Adora visited Catra in jail every week - until she didn't. They had promised as long as they had each other, they could survive anything. Adora vanished and Catra had to build a new life for herself. Until she came back, telling her story over vlogs. Now, Catra wants to find the truth and find her friend. Reconnecting on the roads of Etheria was hard enough, but criminal conspiracies and a religious wars complicate everything. Because the only person who seems to know the truth is Adora - and she's trying to run away from it all. Trucker Catra/Van life Adora  vs. organized crime, cults, and magic not enough people believe in.

The 2026 She-Ra Big Bang! Exciting times, y'all.

This is an idea that's been floating in my head since I first started reading Catradora AUs. It's going to be a slow-moving story. Today is two chapters, because it's the Big Bang - but after this, expect an update once a month or so.

The royal family of Halfmoon is bound by duty. Bound by honor. Bound by their link to the RuneStone. But to survive the coming terrors, they must be bound only to each other - and shatter the chains that bind them to those who want the power they never asked for.

This will be the last Halfmoon chapter for a bit. Next week, we head back to the Bright Moon crew as they meet up with Castaspella and Kesi - and whoever else those two decided to bring with them. They'll be travelling in style, heading to Bow's childhood home - the hidden library that might just have some of the answers they need.
