Willing and Able is pretty devastating in Rurik's context cuz I can see it working for a few people in his life. I think there's a lot of hurt and frustration for the relationships he has and hasn't. The lyrics "I wish you could know me" really hit hard and are sung in such a charged way that I can see it being something Rurik has likely said either to someone or just in his own head.

Remember when I said earlier that The Great Divide was kinda Rurik's album? Yeah I meant that shit with my whole chest. Porch Light is kinda in the same breath as Willing and Able except I usually interpret this song in the context of the relationship Rurik has with his dad. Idk something about "I'll keep the porch light on... It's me who turns it off" like the repetition of waiting and acknowledging that it's kinda pointless to wait, but you care for this person to an extent and you want them to be better so you willingly wait. You leave the porch light on so they know their way back inside. Even if it never ends well.

This one I feel is pretty Rurik coded simply because of how he acts and knows how he acts. It's the idea that if someone gets close they'll have to see that side of him. It's kinda self explanatory.

Ok, hear me out on this one. I personally don't see Rurik as a big drinker so this can be a sorta reflection sort of thing, I don't think it's from Rurik's perspective, I can also see him having this sort of mentality with other people in his life. But when I hear this song and think about him I think of it being meant for him. It's someone convincing him to come over for a bit and no one will tempt him it's fine. Idk idk it's three am I'm sure this made since two sentences ago.

Another one about Rurik and his dad. I can also see this working with Rurik and Lotus depending on your interpretations of the two. Which goes for the next one which is

Yeah I can see this as Rurik and Lotus.

Ok one last one but let me say that I think there's a lot more of Noah Kahan's songs that really are Rurik core this is just a handful so 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️☝️☝️
