HAPPY  HOLIDAYS!  this  rp  blog  is  for  carol  newman  of  the  santa  clause  franchise.  this  blog  will  be  active  between  nov.  1st  -  jan.  1st. studying:  christmas cheer  ,  being  jolly  ,     the  second  clause:    '  mrs.  clause.  '

they always said that old habits died hard , and over the years , he found those words to be true  .  .  .  especially when those habits were over 1600 years old !   but the trip up to the pole had been on a whim him at first , honeymoon over , new life started .   he had to admit , it was strange coming back.   because even though he’d given it all up in the name of love , there was just something about this place that would always have his attention .   and though retired life was nice , especially when it came to his stress - induced headaches , he kind of missed the constant commotion sometimes .    ❝   mrs. clause , hi !  .  .  .  i didn’t know anybody knew i was back yet .   ❞    he says , taken slightly off - guard as he turns around to give a close - lipped smile toward the familiar face .   but when she mentions santa , his brows lift and there’s an air of concern visible .    ❝   sure you can .   he’s not in trouble , is he ?    ❞

❛  well  you  can  blame  a  certain  elf  for  that  .  .  .  ❜  a  laugh  in  an  attempt  to  soften  the  worry  that  was  blossoming  in  her  chest.  but  it  falls  shortly  after  that  ,  the  worry  remaining  ,  jaw  clenching  &  head  falls  for  a  moment  as  she  thinks  over  his  question  ,  ❛  oh  .  .  .  no  no  .  .  .  i  don’t  think  so.  ❜  fingers  fidget  with  each  other  before  she  finally  looks  back  up  at  him  ,  lips  part  once  again.  ❛  has  he  mentioned  retiring  to  you?   ❜

       “𝓗aven’t you ever thought it to be strange that Scott has all this fascinating magic being Santa Claus, and yet… doesn’t have the ability to I don’t know… take some time off and go see your families?” He said rather casually, crossing his arms over his chest during the pause between his sentences. “He can fly around the world in one night… I’m just saying it seems a little weird in my eyes.”

she  knew  his  intention  &  yet  she  doesn’t  dare  raise  her  tone  nor  wipe  the  gentle  smile  upon  her  features  but  there  is  a  shift.  a  slight  shift.  she  wouldn’t  let  him  get  under  her  skin  ,  she  had  enough  on  her  mind  as  of  late.  ❛  scott  does  what  he  has  to.  he  has  his  responsibilities  &  i  understand  that.  it  comes  with  the  title.  ❜  she  knew  that  ,  her  role  as  principle  she  had  to  shift  some  parts  of  herself  to  be  taken  seriously  &  yes  these  were  two  very  different  jobs  but  she  understood.  for  better  or  for  worse.  even if  it  pained  her.  pulled  her  apart  on  the  inside.

❝ What the he–…what do you mean I’m on the naughty list?! ❞  he’s absolutely appalled, arms crossed over his chest, shoulders up to his ears, eyes narrowed as he stares at @themrsclause​.

there’s  a  bit  of  a  chuckle  at  his  child-like  attitude  ,  raising  a  hand  to  place  on  his  shoulder.  ❛  now  now  klaus  .  .  .  there’s  always  next  year.  ❜ a  pause  ,  ❛  but  .  .  .  i  could  always  try  &  make  it  up  to  you.  would  you  like  to  have  a  look  at  the  workshop  while  you’re  here?  would  that  make  you  feel  even  just  a  little  better?  ❜

    “mom? i’ve been thinking.” it likely wasn’t a sentence anyone needed to hear, but why hold back? she had been thinking, and if she didn’t tell her mom and dad, who else would she tell? “dad doesn’t need us here in the lead up to the holidays, right? it’s his busiest time of year. so, hypothetically, we could take a vacation, right?”

an  attentive  nod  is  given  towards  her  daughters’  words  , a  gentle  smile  accompanying  it  ,  although  by  the  end  of  it  brows  furrow  in  slight  worry.  ❛  what  brought  this  on  ,  sweetie?  i  thought  you  loved  it  here.  ❜
