This is a huge issue for transfems even amongst so-called "progressive" people. Saw someone claim that a trans woman "weaponized their AGAB strength" the other day and if that doesn't speak volumes about how we're perceived by the queer community at large I don't know what does

Also for Black people. It’s amazing how many nominal progressives will still look at a 20 year old white woman and see a fragile child that needs to be protected, and then look at a 14 year old Black boy and see an adult whose body is a weapon and a potential threat to those around him.

I think one of my favorite things about Pokopia is how well it uses everyone's familiarity with Kanto to just have really effective moments through just exploring Like just going around and suddenly realizing you're in the Psychic type gym or the Pokémon Fan Club and just wondering what happened... Like It just hits really hard and I like it a lot

i know this has been remarked upon before but it really is hilarious how the whole "ditto keeps the same face when it transforms" thing was originally presented as a failing of one specific ditto in the anime, only for pokemon to immediately realize that being able to slap a ditto face onto literally anything was actually an incredibly strong marketing tool and backpedaling on it so hard that nearly thirty years later we're getting an entire game marketed nearly entirely off the inherent appeal of the ditto face.
