WHAT is the misinformation project?
The misinformation project is my personal history of panic! at the disco, the lies, the truths, and everything in between. It is a semi fictional and sourceless account of how I have heard the story and how I tell the story to others. This blog is the second half of that project, it is the chance for you to submit your personal truths about the band, all the way from the things you believed in middle school to the subtext you chose to read into in your favorite Pretty. Odd. song. It is not a project that values the truth, it is a project that values a good story.

It's you, it's me, it's james montgomery and pete wentz and every 11 year old on wattpad. It’s the interviewer that took Ryan Ross’ phone in 2006, it's Breezy Weekes, it's the VLV video essay and it's every high school that plays high hopes at their pep rallies. Mostly though, it's just me. You can call me Lake :) i use he/him

WHY is the misinformation project?
I've always been fascinated by the way collective memory can shift stories, by the way people have made heroes and villains out of band members and analyze their lives like it's a novel. At what point does it stop being about Panic! At the disco and start being about you? Also i love RPF and lying.
