Was fun using this high-resolution photo released by NASA to spot my plot of land. I think the 2nd picture sums up perfectly why I wanted to jump on the opportunity since you can see it is on the lowest road and has an unobstructed view below it. The grade below the lot becomes steeper and is divided by larger gullies, which makes putting a road through that area very difficult—so zoning for agriculture is its only real use. You can see my grove of trees in the top corner of the lot and it's cool to be able to see that from space. Previous owner just sat on it since 1971 and never did anything with it, so I feel lucky I grabbed this when it became available

Was busy watering plants and turned around to discover this

New project in the works, someone had this excellent condition piece that was hemmed all the way around and had slots so it could be a window hanging. Could never see myself putting this up in a window so I worked to undo all of the hems. I had a frame made in the past that I never used and it turns out to be a perfect fit for this. I have this same pattern but framed on a small 11” square so it’s cool to find more of it. Top picture is before and bottom is after

My smart girl

Back again. We’ve been here much less when compared to past years and I regret that. I can tell this is Dazzle’s favorite place on earth. And this is prime real estate for Alistair to learn to be independent and it’s so fun to quietly watch him figure that out. I’ve missed these moments to be still and make sense of my life. Utah has generated the environment where I can do that better than anywhere else, and that’s why I’m still here

Unicorn finds are so fun. 7 yards worth of this Miles Redd pattern is worth more than 2 grand if you were to try and purchase it anywhere else right now, but I came across it at a local fabric store (who didn’t fully realize what it was) selling it for 95% less than that. It’s very 80’s Post-Modern and I love that vibe nowadays. This will make great curtains for a guest room in the future
