In my experience a lot of black tboys tend to girlmod. Like the limited amount of black trans mascs I’ve met irl are still presenting as fem. I think it’s because while white masculinity is safe and praised black masculinity isn’t. It’s dangerous to be perceived as a black masculine person. The black community hate studs ( and gay people in general), history and the media has over sexualize and demonized black men more than they ever will white men. I presented masculine for most of middle school and one year in high-school. I was sexualized by my classmates, beat by another black man who also tag teamed with the white guy in the friend group to reminded me I’d never be anything more than a twink and hit a lot more than should be allowed by men yes but mostly women and other queer people. I need to write like a study on this or something…

One of the reasons why I make sure my hair is visible now is because when I had my hoodie on and most of my body covered ( aka nothing to indicate I was ‘female’) my couch cursed me out.
