So, here's the thing. No matter where you fall on the religious spectrum nobody desires their deity to be desecrated for the amusement of non believers. When someone is sick or has a dying child we tend to cling to deeply held religious beliefs to give us comfort and encouragement. So to depict Jesus as gay or the last supper as some drunkin comedy sketch will anger a lot of folks. People have freedom of speech and in most cases, artistic expression in this country.
