Hey everyone. Just checking in… I’m doing about as well as you’d expect given the circumstances. I’m not ready yet to make a proper post about everything that happened with Spooky but I will explain everything eventually. For everyone on my commission waitlist just know that I am still working. I know most or maybe all of you are probably not expecting me to be working at this time but honestly it’s a welcome distraction. Things may be a little slower than usual but I will keep plugging along and let you know when I reach your spot on the waitlist. On the financial side of Spooky’s passing, his total bill from the ER was around $20,000. I did make a claim to his insurance but I’m pretty new to pet insurance so I really don’t know how much (if any) of this we might get back. We had to split it on 2 credit cards because it exceeded our limits. But we’ll be okay (financially anyway). I’ll be taking on more commissions for the rest of the year to try to pay off some of this debt. Once I know where it stands after insurance I will let you all know. Thank you so much for all the concern and well wishes. To say my heart is broken is honestly an understatement. The only comfort I really have right now is knowing from previous experience of losing companions that the pain will lessen with time. Sitting in it for the time being is the really hard part.
