○ Me and...Myself? (Summer | Minami))

"You get flashbacks a lot?" Minami watched her alternate tame her electrified hair. Summer seemed to have gone through much more than she herself had. "It’s good of your Pichu to do that for you! And you’ve got such great bonds with each other!" She smiled at the two of them.

Summer looked down and fiddled with her Styler under the obvious question. "Yeah... My family died in a fire when I was younger..." A haunted look crept into her eyes and Pichu patted her nose, making her look over at him. "Yeah; I'm glad he's here. Luno, my Luxray Partner, isn't exactly travel sized." She managed a small smile as Pichu flinched, clinging to Summer's shirt. She shook her head and scratched between the small Pokemon's ears. "Pichu isn't exactly fond of him, although it's hard to not be intimidated by a 5'1" predator that's pure muscle."

○ Me and...Myself? (Summer | Minami))

"I know how you feel. My Staraptor also lost her life in a nearly identical incident." She sniffed a bit at the memory. "Um, your hair’s a bit, uh." Minami motioned to the other to notify her of her slightly puffy hair.

Summer blinked and smiled a bit sheepishly as she smoothed her hair down, patting Pichu on the head. "That happens every so often since one of his duties is to help keep me in the present." Normally, she wasn't this open about the flashbacks that haunted her, but she thought she should explain why Pichu had done that.

○ Me and...Myself? (Summer | Minami))

"Latias responds to your whistle? That’s interesting." She was intrigued by this method of summoning Pokemon. "For me, they only come when I use Sign Mode." She absentmindedly adjusted the goggles on her head. "Hm? You ok?" Minami asked, seeing the alternate flinch.

"The beasts also do. We've formed a close pact over the past few years..although I still don't get why they and Luno--my Luxray--refuse to call me by name. I'm also pretty close with Mewtwo." Summer shook her head at the first bit, though her expression quieted as the other asked the question. She covered the side of her face with one hand, her eyes closed "When the Pinchers shot me down and captured Ben...Ellie, my Staraptor, perished... If it weren't for Radegon, the Lugia, I would've died as well... He just didn't realise how close I was to hear..." Her voice broke and Pichu blinked, pressing his cheek into hers. She cracked her left eye and he sent a static spark into her, making her hair puff up a bit.

☼ The Third Wheel (Kate open)

Kate fell silent as she listened to Justy, squeezing her hands together, not able to meet his gaze. It felt so weird having someone look after her when she was a Top Ranger and used to being the one doing the helping, but she knew everyone had their limits. With a sigh, she closed her eyes. "It feels like two of my best friends are forgetting about me while getting closer to each other... I understand why; they both have rough pasts and rely on each other for support, but it just seems like they exclude me without realising..." Usually she was outspoken about her thoughts, but it was just hard to speak up when it came to her friends for whatever reason.
