I am just screaming into the void currently cause I don't know where else to scream about this but I have spent the last like two days obsessively rereading old rp blogs and now I am filled with emotions about them and ugh I just really miss the days of joining a tumblr rp and writing with my friends and making headcanons and stuff. I have not found anything that hits quite the way that did (although my d&d journey has filled the gap a little bit). Anyway, here's me missing my Andromeda Black and James Potter especially.

I think one of the kindest things you can do for people with various mental health struggles is just... let people back into your life after they've been absent for a while.

Making friends as an adult is so fucking hard already and isolating yourself from other people is a very common symptom of depression, anxiety, burnout, ocd, trauma, grief, etc. Which means that someone will do the hard work of recovery/healing and resurface back into a world where their previous friends have written them off because they stopped showing up.

So if you know someone where you're like "yeah we could have been better friends but they fell off the map a bit" and that person suddenly reaches out, or starts showing up to events even though you kind of forgot they were still in the group chat... well they may have been Going Through It and you don't actually have to punish them for their absence you can just be glad that they're back.

i caught up on critical role today (last night i watched until the break and then was too tired to continue because i’m an old lady) and had some thoughts:

mainly how much i loved aabria’s melora! the whole section of her talking to them was just beautiful and all the reactions were so good

also i love watching aimee play opal and how much she sticks to her character choices is an inspiration! the part when she was refusing to apologize to ted was so good and i just loved her in yesterday’s episode

and the WHOLE cast really showed up to play a dumb character and i live for it (i mean i guess orym isn’t dumb but all the others are and it’s beautiful)

i’m not ready for the end of this arc because i love all these chaotic children

I’m grading and watching Critical Role campaign 1 while I do so, and I’m just at the part where they go to Gilmore’s for the first time on the stream and Liam getting excited about Gilmore is how I felt the first time our DM described the Elf fighter that my character is now dating

ALSO all the stuff with Allura and Kima was just the greatest thing I’ve ever witnessed, I love them so much
