I just watched smii7y’s “This is NOT a Best of 2025” video—from six months ago—where he talks about running four channels with a small team, creative burnout, and the importance of mental health.

Last night I watched videos from LaurenZside and Gloom talking about similar things: community, running channels with small teams, and burnout.

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again: content creation is a real job, just the same as Hollywood or working at the local Market Basket or being a CEO for some major corporation. It’s a real job. You put in hours and hours and hours of work every week, but the difference is you never stop being watched.

Other people can go home at the end of the day and sleep knowing that they don’t have to be “perfect” or have their persona on or whatever. Streamers, YouTubers, influencers, whatever you want to call them. Even if they’re not actively recording, they are always being watched. 24/7, 365. And a lot of people know this, but I know that I for one take it for granted.

So, yeah. I just wanted to say that all of the creators I watch, the people who make the content I consume, I appreciate them!! So much!! LaurenZside, Gloom, Azzyland, LDShadowlady, they were my childhood! And now I’m older and I watch other people, but they’ll always have special places in my heart. MatPat and Polygon Donut were my entire middle school experience.

And I think it’s hard for me to remember, especially when watching people like Smii7y or Kryoz or Pezzzy, that I don’t know them. They don’t know me. But I feel like I do, and I appreciate them so. Much. (This isn’t in a weird way jsyk)

I remember crying in my bedroom after my first relapse and doom scrolling on my phone for anything to take my mind off of everything, and finding Smii7y’s video where he follows Wildcat around in Among Us and it made me laugh so hard that I forgot about the pain. It was so stupid, but he was my lifeline. He still is.

I remember making friends for the first time in the fifth grade because I had something to contribute to a conversation because of a Game Theory video I had watched. I’m still friends with some of those people to this day, even though I’ve always struggled in social situations.

I remember watching LaurenZside with her purple hair and quirky behavior and realizing that I’m not the only one who feels like they don’t belong, especially as I was scrolling through comments.

So, yeah. No matter what fandom you’re in or creator you follow, just remember to show them some love:)

But its more so that I am just in his mind, able to see and hear and sense all he does, but I have no control of- actually, that's not entirely true. I am able to control the physical body, but only when he let's me. So to make it easier, we've made time increments and things to make it easier.
