Most primarily, the idea of 'communication' as a sort of metaphysical thing;

from that we can begin to talk about a tripartite hierarchy of communication, beginning with God's Word, and especially Its creating power (<- something I need to define better still);

followed then by the created reality's seeming ability to convey and/or 'expel', if you will, itself, this being *its* 'communication';

and then both of these tied together by the idea that man possesses a doublet of communication, one of the willful type given by our image and likeness, God, and one of the metaphysical type, which is in our nature due to our nature being created and corporeal (tentatively — I need to read up on angels a little more to figure out if there's a distinction worth making there, and what that is if so)

onto my random thoughts based off these premises!

perhaps we could say something of Christ's humanity because the form of humanity is actually just Him, and then specifically ask questions then about Him as Word

one of the driving forces behind these premises is the idea that everything speaks to us and we serve almost as messenger to and for Christ on behalf of the world, which can certainly tie into questions about Eden and what that relationship looks like in the ideal sense, versus what it looks like now, and what parts of the world we can find glimpses of that in (I really want to include horses and dogs in this part if I include it, the idea that they gave man a 'second chance' is far too poetic and beautiful for me to turn down 😭)

a quote a professor of mine once said goes something like "when we hold a creature in our mind, we give to it a nobler existence" which I find utterly fascinating and actually quite plausible, given that we are the only corporeal beings capable of attainment towards abstract things via our rational appetite (at least in scholastic tradition), and thus it's almost our duty and unique responsibility to give practical light to the existential reality of the abstract qualities of things (e.g. to say a thing is beautiful is to give a uniquely divine quality a practical existence in that thing). I really like Hopkins and Duns Scotus for this with their metaphysical 'bursting' of sorts

that all said, a note on the actual text I do wonder about: I'm in a weird stasis where I've read almost exclusively analytical philosophy thus far in my class on philosophy, but I myself think (tentatively) that I'm a romantic and a poet by nature, which means this paper might be the oddest mix of mathematical analysis and feelsy, continental-esque philosophy in the world XD
