The Life I've Been Given

So... It's been a while. I've been praying about what to write. But just lately I have felt this reverence, thankfulness, and remembrance of what Jesus did on that cross and how I would be nothing without Him.  I feel like I have just been so so thankful for His redeeming grace. Aaron Shust's song "Ever Be" has been my theme song as of lately.  The words in it are so pure and describe the pureness of His love and how He wants to show His love for you and me.

I love the part in the song: Bringing beauty from ashes/For you will have your bride/Free of all her guilt and rid of all her shame/And known by her true name and it's why I sing/Your praise will ever be on my lips, ever be on my lips

What a visual those words are! Think of the last wedding you went to and that moment the doors were opened and the bride was revealed.  That moment right there is one of the purest moments that I can think of right now.  There is such joy and peace in that moment, that bride knows the joy she has in her future with her husband. Not only that, there's excitement! We should be excited for Jesus, He will make us so pure and the only JOY that can be given is through Him. I think that part of the song is the best way I've been able to understand the bridegroom that Jesus talks about through scripture.

So I encourage you to look up the song, listen to it (if you haven't) dwell on the words and ask Jesus to always let "your praise ever be on my lips."
