âArthur,â Levi said to his eldest brother. âWhat do you think of this painting?â He asked, turning the still drying canvas towards the older man. Levi was quite proud of his latest piece but it too would collect dust like the last one he spotted. They never went anywhere besides his little studio upon completion and no one saw them besides his family. They werenât anything special but he had fun spending time finding something so beautiful he had to try his best to remember it through paint.Â
@addisonxvale
âDo you want to come with me?â Levi asked as he shouldered the bag filled with the paints and brushes heâd need to start his next painting. Levi spent most of his free time either reading or painting another painting that he wouldnât show to anyone besides his siblings. It was a passion rather than someone he was truly amazing at. He wished he was a good painter like so many others but it was enjoyable nevertheless. âI should be gone for some time and it is a nice enough day to spend outside.â

  Hearing the material of worn soles crossing from the hallway into the conference room, Estella looked up. It had been nearly two hours since the meeting had ended. Two hours. Where had time gone? It must have escaped somewhere within the writings she noted on antiquities from Cyprus, and exhibit resources for ancient Cypriot art. It seemed the assistant curator beneath her for the department had been lacking, but Estella hadnât ever minded extending herself towards good measure at work. Half of the time it hadnât even seemed like such a task, it wasnât daunting, but more pleasurable.Â
  A small sigh escaped her lips as her mind forced her pen to finish the last structured sentence in her head. âI know.â Another sigh, this time more defeated. âIâm working through my lunch, again,â dark brows raised, and her hands began to collect the papers scattered on the table top. They may have seemed dysfunctional to the eyes, but she had her own display of organization. âHabituallyâŚbut there are far more worse habits I could be doing?â A small smirk curled up at her lips. âDid you need the roomâ or ?â
@thelevivaleâ
Levi laughed as she announced that she had worked through her lunch again, it was something he did quite often. Sometimes he didnât have time to sit down at a restaurant to eat and had to just each whatever leftovers he had in his office or save the leftovers for when he stayed late. âThere are far worse habits,â he laughed. âI think working hard is the best habit one could have compared to the countless others.âÂ
âOh no,â he said with a shake of his head. âI was just stopping by to see how everything was going. I was meant to have a meeting with someone but they cancelled last minute so I actually have some free time for a moment.â

The way he portrayed himself and how he spoke, it put Frankie more at ease and so she maintained the pleasant expression she was sporting on her face. At least he wasnât dismissing her even though sheâd had no clue what he had just spoken about regarding the temple.Â
âOh, Oceans 8âŚ.now when it comes to movies I do have some knowledge of thoseâŚ.obviously I wasnât paying enough attention though when I watched that.â
A cheeky smirk was thrown in his direction before she nodded at his next words.
âI never really did well when I was at schoolâŚand I never went to college or anything eitherâŚbut okayâŚout of interestâŚhumour meâŚwhat are you talented at?âŚlooking at youâŚIâd say thereâs gotta be something.â
âIt wasnât a big thing in the movie,â Levi told her. âIt focused more on the Met Gala aspect and you could see it in the background. But my eye was drawn to it because I work here and see it everyday. So Iâm sure most people didnât even notice it like I had,â he mused.Â
âThere are 9 types of intelligences and schools only zero in a few of those so people who would strive in different fields often donât get that opportunity to explore it within a classroom setting. I took an intro to psychology class and it is surprising to see what sticks,â he joked once he realized he had gone off on a random tangent. âUh, I donât know!â Levi laughed as he tried to think of something. âIâm good with art history- does that count?â

           âWhatâs wrong with that is a stark six foot and carrying a violin,â the ophidian deadpanned, raising a brow as russet hues traveled back from the man to the countenance of the Vale before her. âNot rich enough for a town car?â She mused in unbiased succession, finding it effortless to feign her ignorance to all that she knew of the Vales. Â
âThat doesnât happen everyday,â Levi pointed out but she wasnât wrong that there were a lot of other riders who were just as bad or worse in different ways. Levi had to hold back his laughter when she asked if he wasnât rich enough for his own town car. âDo you normally asked people about their socioeconomic status? Openly asks about it when on the subway?â He laughed.

The woman had to fight the urge to scratch at the back of her neck to relieve the tension building there. The question seemed so mundane considering. How was she? Well⌠âIâm good, thank you. How are you, Levi?â
âThats good,â Levi grinned. âI am good as well. Busy with work which isnât new. I tend to add as much to plate as possible but not Iâve got a few plates spinning,â he laughed. âI feel like I should address the elephant in the room rather than talk around it- if that is okay with you?â
elliotduvalâ:
           âWell, Iâm sure all the useless facts we have about art, outweighs useless facts on any other subject,â he chuckled, knowing full well that the profession of an art restorer like himself was seen as fairly humdrum and unsavory to most. To Elliot, however, it was an enthralling subject, yet he could admit the process as a whole was surely tedious. âIâd much rather come to walk the entirety of Central Park than I would being holed up in a cramped tourist venue.â Â
âI wouldnât call any facts about art useless. I would say they are all pretty interesting,â he grinned. âThough my siblings might not agree. I tend to share everything I learn to them or at least try but they know when to stop me- early before I can really get on a roll,â he laughed. âThe amount of times I overhear visitors talk about Timeâs Square is astounding. You think by now everyone would realize it is a tourist trap.â
bcthgarrisonâ:
           âPerhaps he was good in another life time; you know, before he didnât look as if he was one off-key ballad away from insanity,â the ophidian snickered in grim fashion, shooting a look of repugnance at the male, before obsidian hues reverted back to the Vale beside her. âYou take this horrid subway system every day?â Brows crinkled as if critiquing his choices now.
âMaybe he was good in another life but in this life he isnât. Didnât practice enough when he was younger....should have listened to his parents,â he joked. âWell not everyday but most days. What is so wrong with that? I am a classic New Yorker who canât drive and doesnât have their driverâs license.â

âNo, itâs still on my phone.â She said with a heavy sigh. âIâm trying to give the damn thing the benefit of the doubt. I mean, Iâm not hurting for a date, but this city gets⌠lonely. And please, donât get me started on gender stereotypes and the absolute absurdity of roles based on sex. As if a man can do my job better because he has something dangling between his legs and a lump in his throat⌠No offense, your gender is sort of aggravating.â
âI feel like that you definitely dealt with the worst date ever so everything else would be good in comparison. Or at least I hope it would because having another date like that would be unfair to anyone,â he said. âHave you tried the other apps? I honestly donât know much about them at all so I canât say much about it at all,â he admitted. âOh no argument there at all.â
bladepristineâ:
âMyââisnât this the best possible turn of events,â it was a rare joy that she got to feel at that moment, something unanticipated and pure. âIt seems that Oatmeal misses his humans too,â she commented, chuckling back in response, âand yes, that would be extraordinarily helpful, and Iâll make sure you get some credit too.â She assured him, smiling, only hoping now that her next stop would not be too far away, mostly for Oatmealâs sake. âI guess itâll have to be the address then, unless you have their phone number. I mean, I donât wish to be intrusive.â
âEveryone wins in this situation,â he grinned. âI might have their number- I honestly donât know if I do but I should. I might be a bad neighbor but this will help,â he laughed. âIâm was going to go get takeaway but I donât need to so I can walk you there if you like.â
