"I'd go another way if I were you," Stifler warned as he cut through the park. "It's one of those lookalike contests, what's his name- Jeremy Allen White. Yeah, it's dudes in little t-shirts and cigarette smoke everywhere."

"Shit another one? How many of these lookalike contests are there gonna be?" Lennon asked looking at the group of people gathered not too far off. He was glad his piqued curiosity was squashed. "You mean every Applebee's line cook uniform?" He asked. "I should've entered that timothee one. Been told I look like him. I don't see it."

"It's been weirdly quiet lately and seeing a Chadwell huddle in a ballroom is like, an omen. Someone's going to die tonight. Socially, at least." Tahani, a great fan of the art of gossip, was living for the gala. Nothing tended to stir the pot more than an event where everyone was supposed to be prim and proper. She just had to hope that she didn't become the talking point herself; a thought that made her adjust the feathery shawl she was wearing. "I'm just saying, keep your eye on them. They're always fun."

"You think they're going over who they're going to sacrifice to their ancestors tonight to remain in power?" For a family to have that much power and influence in a small town Lennon was sure some sort of deal had to be made. Or maybe after a few years of substance fun, his brain came to that conclusion. It made the Chadwells more interesting in his mind if the former was true. "Who do you think they'll cast as a social pariah this year?"

It'd been a while since him and Lennon wandered the night, all the way until the sun came up, and this time, they weren't even on anything. Or- one of them wasn't, not unless you counted all the red bulls Lennon slammed, and out of his respect for his friend, Kit snuck off once or twice to wake himself up. As they got ready to wind down, the rest of Rosewood was just getting up, and Kit slowed as they passed an early church service. "You wanna go in?," he teased as he grinned back at Lennon. "Could see some of our old friends.." @thelennondiaries

Learning to live a sober lifestyle wasn't for the weak. After being dependent on substances for so long it was hard trying to find something that scratched the occasional itch that flared up. Somehow, Lennon had managed to keep his sobriety. There were a few times he had almost fallen off the horse since returning to Rosewood but Kit had been a pillar to him in his recovery. Energy drinks had become his vice. It gave him the needed jolt to feel alive. It wasn't better per se than actual drugs but hey at least he was somewhat better. "Fuck yeah, I do." He couldn't remember the last time he had stepped into a church. He was convinced he'd burn on sight. "Oh, yeah. They might know me by name here. It's been a minute since I've confessed some sins to Father John."

"What'd that groundhog say again, early spring?" Stifler zipped up his coat as he walked out of St. Elmo's, huffing against the cold. The snow was cute for a bit but they needed to wrap it up before he made like a bird and flew south. "Dude's got one job and can't even get that right."

"I think it's wild as hell we're trusting a rodent to tell us if spring has sprung or if we're suffering with a few more weeks of winter." Though, Lennon was crossing his fingers for spring. He was suffering in this cold weather. "Did they even inform our boy Phil about global warming? I read somewhere that those groundhogs' accuracy rate is low anyway, so the entire family can't do their job."

"Probably weighs more than you," he teased, chuckling while his dog tried to lick at Lennon's hands. "Or something." He shrugged. "I offered, Zara wanted a pet and she didn't want any of the work. Once I get her on some Airbud shit it's game over."

"a bag of Hot Cheetos probably weighs more than me. there's no competition anywhere, buddy." Lennon snorted a laugh and gave the dog a good scratch behind the ear. "damn, or something it is. she's like four right? a pet rock would suffice. if you're gonna get stuck with a dog and make it Airbud 2.0 we should capitalize off of it. get a whole tiktok going. we'll make millions."

"Shit, hey- Sorry, she's friendly. Clearly." A few months ago Kit helped Tahani get a dog for Zara, which since had become his responsibility. Not that he had a problem with that, he liked the dog- the dog just happened to be the size of a small horse. "Just doesn't know how fuckin' big she is."

"No shit Sherlock. you had me shaking in my boots for a moment there. thought I was dog chow." lennon snorted a laugh as he got down on his knees to pet the giant creature. "yeah most big ass dogs think they're laptops until you're drowning underneath them. did Tahani give you dog custody or something?"
