oh, it’s not problem at all! i’m here to make sure we’re supporting all of the members! and, of course! i might end up missing a few because he had a tendency to change it a lot during his first year on sns, but. the below are a handful of display pictures that he had for a very short period of time each. (he also had another one with a close up of a dog but i wasn’t able to find a good quality photo of it.)

other than all of those, there’s three that he had for a prolonged amount of time each:

the above is a cropped version of a fantaken picture from the first time that jonghyun performer “internet war” with taemin. long story short: apparently a bunch of “fans” (aka: jerks) were calling to have the both of them removed from the group because of the performance, there were petitions started, jjong had a lot of nasty mentions on twitter, etc. it was obvious that he saw and he made the photo his display afterward. he never commented on it but most people took it as his way to tell people to “get over it” or “deal with it”. it remained a few months afterward.

this one is pretty well known already but: in late 2013, jonghyun changed his display picture to an open letter that kang eun ha, an activist / student, posted up around her university in protest against lgbtq+ discrimination at her university.  he ended up messaging her afterward to make sure that she wasn’t getting unwanted attention / there weren’t any issues made from him making it his display picture, and also to just solidify his support and talk to her, in general.
