I have been waiting for you, Day Off. I used to obsess about filling every minute of every day with stuff to do and never gave myself days off. I've been working on the guilt and questioned my need to keep busy and the reason I never wanted to sit still. I realized that there is always going to be a to-do list and that the pressure to get everything checked off as soon as possible was all just self-imposed. I'm learning to be kinder to myself, easier on myself, and that it's okay to relax and just "be". We are, after all human "beings", not human "doings". (Lol I almost typed dongs instead). Bodies and minds need rest - it's all part of the work. I still fall into the pattern sometimes yet am doing much better... I now crave time to do just this, and it is beautiful. Makes me appreciate life way more and keeps me way more grounded. ✌🏼❤️ ...And man I am so ready for this holiday.... I just donated - it doesn't completely fix the ache in my heart but it's something. I felt like it wasn't enough money and I was sad I couldn't do more and that almost stopped me from doing it at all, then I thought "omg if everyone thought that then no one would donate". So I slapped some sense into myself and realized how grateful I am to be safe, fed, warm, and healthy. And, spreading this message and this awareness is also so much within my power.
