So, you think I'm cool/this blog is cool and you want to interact with me? Well, as long as you don't fall into any of the DNI categories below, I like to think I'm very friendly and open-minded! My ask box and DMs are open to anyone, and I'm not opposed to tickle talk right out the gate, as long as it's not NSFW right away (that stuff we have to build up to).

I'm making this post because I'm tired of people complaining about how they don't want to see some people on their dash/in tags that they frequent. Blocking someone just makes it so that user can't interact with you or your posts, but it doesn't mean that you don't see their posts, especially if someone else that you follow reblogs from them. So here’s what you have to do in order to stop seeing someone's posts beyond blocking them:

Go into settings (can be mobile or desktop, doesn't matter if you're on your main blog or a side blog).

Go to "Account Settings" (yes, this will change the settings for all your blogs, but just trust me).

Click on "Content you see". This will take you to filtered tags and filtered content.

Scroll down to the section titled "Filtered Post Content". Anything you type in this area will be filtered on your dash and in the search results, but you have to type it in exactly as it appears.

Type in the URL of the blog you no longer want to see content from. Type in the blog URL exactly as you see it, dashes and all. Now any mention of that blog will be filtered from your dash and search results, so you will have to click on the post in order to show the content. If the person changes their URL, you will have to go back through this process and enter the new URL, but it does work and I have a handful of blogs blocked and filtered through this way.

Don't wallow in your own misery, there are ways for you to help yourself. Feel free to send this post to anyone who will find this helpful, I'm fairly certain that blogs that I have blocked will still be able to see this post (and if they can't, you can screenshot this or tell them what to do step-by-step).
