Lovin' the Crew - Les Twins FanFiction

These past two weeks have been heavenly. Everyday I’ve spent time with Lau except for today because I had to set everything up for the party. Even when he had work he made time for me. Some days we’d watch movies until we fell asleep, then we would wake up, he’d laugh at my bed hair and I would tell him to wipe the drool from his lips. When we would finally stop laughing we would realize how much we wanted each other and make love until one of us fell asleep again or he had to go to work.

After a goodbye kiss that would almost lead us back into my bedroom, I would close the door and busy myself with miscellaneous things like playing Temple Run, cleaning what’s already clean, or surfing the web.

I’m on medical leave from work because of my injuries so no scanning groceries for me right now. The sadness creeps in now like it has every day for the past two weeks when I think too much.

Laurent leaves tomorrow. I’m going to miss him so much. I would be a liar if I said that I wanted him to go, but I understand and accept that he has to . . . cheer up. Stay focused on the here and now. Two different knocks come from the front door.  Regi opens it while the rest of us stay hidden.

What the hell? Why is it pitch black in here? Did the dancer Regi called about glow in the dark?

“Salut!” A million voices seem to shout. (“Hello!”)

The room brightens and I instantly realize what’s going on. Multi-colored balloons are everywhere. Banners and streamers decorate the walls and the ceiling. All my family and all of my crew are here. How. . . Noelle comes from my left and wraps her arm around me, since the other one is still in a sling.

“You do this?” When she nods I hug her tighter.

This girl is incredible. She arranged a party for me and my brother and I didn’t even suspect it. Somehow she got all my family together when I can’t even do that. Noelle did all of this with limited mobility too, not to mention that she took a bullet for me 3 weeks ago. Beyond amazing.

We share a kiss that I put all my feelings into. A kiss that raises the hairs on the back of my neck and tells her how much I love her without speaking. After a minute or so she breaks the kiss. Her cheeks are a little red.

For that short amount of time I had forgot that people were around us. Larry picks Noelle up and hugs her while being careful of her arm. He kisses her forehead and leaves to greet everyone.

“Je t'aime.” My amazing firecracker. (“I love you.”)

“Pas plus que Je t'aime.” Noelle gives me a smile that always slays me. (“Not more than I love you.”)

Before I can tell her how wrong she is she takes my hand and leads me into the kitchen. In the center of the table is a 3 foot cake decorated with pictures of Larry and me. At the bottom of the cake it says “Good Luck on the Tour!”

“Like it?” She looks up at me.

“Love it.” I kiss her again.

“Prenez une chambre s'il vous plaît.” Larry says while fake gagging. (“Get a room please.”)

He looks at the cake and I have a feeling that we no longer exist to him. Noelle laughs at how Larry looks at every picture, liking one and disapproving of the next. My phone vibrates in my pocket but I ignore it. Music begins to fill the house.

“Dance?” I’m itching to move.

Noelle holds up her other arm and laughs. “Pas comme je le faisais.” (“Not like I used to.”)

She walks in front of me and I smack her ass, I couldn’t help myself.

“Méchant, attendre plus tard.” She winks. (“Naughty, wait until later.”)

Little Lau stands up on a step ladder at the sound of her promise of more naughty things later.

Three hours pass, the cake disappears and most of the guests do too.

Larry and I make our way over to our mama. “Au revoir, maman. Je t'aime.” ("Bye , mama. I love you.")

She gives me a hug, squeezes my cheeks and does the same to Larry. I spy Noelle in a faraway corner fiddling with the diamond bracelet I bought her. Melancholy shadows her features. I say bye to a few more relatives and make my way over to her.

“What's wrong baby?”

She jumps at the sound of my voice; I guess she didn’t see me approaching.

“Rien, Je vais bien.” She gives me a bullshit smile and walks around me. (“Nothing, I'm fine.”)

Oh yea, something is definitely wrong. Following her footsteps, we enter the kitchen. She starts to clear the table. All that’s left of the cake is the platter it came on so she tosses it in the trash.

“Parlez-en à moi.” (“Talk to me.”)

She does the opposite and continues to clean. My hands go around her waist and I pull her to a stop. Something is bothering her, we need to talk. Taking her good hand we walk out on the balcony. It’s about 8 pm, the sun is setting.

 “Laisse-moi entrer.” I grip her chin. (“Let me in.”)

Noelle starts to cry and I pull her into my embrace. My phone vibrates and yet again I ignore it.

“Laurent je vais vous manquer.” She buries her face into my shirt. (“Laurent I'm going to miss you.”)

The feeling is fucking mutual. I almost lost her 3 weeks ago, then I finally tell her how I feel and now I have to leave her. We just started.

“Pas plus que tu vas me manquer.” She giggles. (“Not more than I'll miss you.”)

In three months I’ll be back and we can pick up where we left off.

“Je t'appelle et Skype dès que je peux. Je te le promets.” (“I'll call you and Skype whenever I can. I promise.”)

Noelle sniffles a bit and then kisses that spot just beneath my chin. She knows what that does to me.

“Je vais répondre à tous vos appels et vous donner un spectacle intéressant à regarder sur Skype. Je te le promets.” I laugh now. (“I'll answer all your calls and give you a show worth watching on Skype. I promise.”)

“Est-il plus tard encore?” (“Is it later yet?”)

Noelle grabs Little Lau and massages him. “Almost.”

She leaves, no doubt going to say her goodbyes to the remaining guests so we can hurry to her apartment. You did good Laurent, Noelle is happy and her beautiful smile is back. My phone vibrates again and I forward it to voicemail. Now if I could only get my past to stop calling me.
