We were holding off before announcing the 2026 synchronous picnic day is returning, but the GOOD NEWS about that Good Omens finale premiere 13 May 2026 has pushed up our need to announce. 😂
Good Omens published 10 May 1990! We are continuing with this as our main date since it again falls on a weekend.
You may want to have a picnic on a different date. Do it! If your picnic happens in May 2026, we'll include it on this—our main post—so Good Omens fans can find and join your picnic! (And honestly we're happy to list April and June picnics too.)
Last year we had 16 group picnics around the world, and at least a dozen solo picnics. Over 150 Good Omens fans celebrated their love of this story! We hope to double that this year! And we have the time to get the word out.
But we need YOUR help to reach as many fans as possible, so they don't miss out.
* Sunday the 10th of May 2026 (main day)
* Good Omens fans celebrating our fandom!
* Worldwide fan picnic day
* Don't wait for someone else to organize for you: be the Planner Friend you want to see in the world! If someone else is already organizing near you for the same date, now you have two organizers available! More help is always better.
* More than one picnic in an area on different days is okay! Many people won't be able to make May 10th itself. (The California Bay area, for example, is having one early and one late May!)
* Join the Discord to better organize when, where, and with who! NOT REQUIRED but certainly easier.
* Even if your day is you and your best hereditary enemy enjoying a picnic, that's still a fun time! (Or just you!! You count!)
We'll have the sign up sheet for hosting available on the Discord soon. We'll share the running list of available picnics here on an UPDATE to this Tumblr post.
What is The Ineffable Society? If you haven't heard of us: any GO fan can join the TIS server, where we help organize in-person meetups.
Must be 18 or older to join the server itself, even if all ages may be welcome at specific events. We do not have NSFW channels.
Our flagship meetup happens in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA area in October: a whole day, in a hotel, with events, talks, crafts, games, cosplay, and more. This year TIS Philly 3 is Saturday October 24, 2026 in Langhorne PA from 1pm-10pm. Hotel booking link available on Discord server.
We encourage fans to host in their area! In the past we've had gatherings at Chicago FanExpo, Atlanta DragonCon, and Baltimore Farpoint Convention, and a hotel-based meetup for TIS-DC. TIS members have organized rewatch parties, trips, holiday events, weekends away, museum visits, star gazing, dinners... Anything in-person is our goal!
We hope to see you in the server, and that you'll join us for a picnic!!
