Welcome to the Ink Grid! This blog is a work in progress as the foundation is laid down for a mature, 1930s animation body-horror and mafia crime thriller. Before the story officially kicks off and the ask box opens for live interactive pings, the core cast roster sheets will be rolled out one by one.

THE BACKGROUND LORE:

Decades ago, Gent Corporation secretly polluted Toon City's water lines with a toxic, experimental ink formula. The city council claimed it was cleaned up, but the damage was already done. Today, a small percentage of the population carries a latent sickness—The After-Effects. Under extreme stress, the dormant ink violently wakes up, liquefying your skin, stretching your bones, and turning you into a mindless, screaming ink monster.

Now, the city is a divided, rainy noir playground. Mayor Mickey Mouse maintains a beautiful public illusion at City Hall while funding a silent, cybernetic corporate cleanup crew known as The Keepers to prune the sick into puddles of sludge with their time-melting batons. To survive, the underground relies on un-taxed water bottles smuggled from WB City by Don Bendy’s Mafia Syndicate.

Amira(The Waitress):

An ordinary late-night diner waitress whose mundane life is completely shattered when her gambling aunt, Basil, signs her away to clear a staggering syndicate debt. Trapped inside a luxurious penthouse cage, she is desperate to escape back to her ordinary routine—completely unaware that her lineage carries a dormant, volatile trait. She has no idea why the city's most feared mob kingpin went to such extreme lengths to acquire her, only that she is now a permanent asset to his empire.

Don Bendy(The Ink Boss):

The ruthless, sharp-dressed boss of the Toon City underground. He controls the bootleg WB water supply and rules with an iron fist, utilizing solid-ink weapons and lethal close-range claws to protect his territory. Beneath his pristine pinstripe suit, he is hiding a catastrophic, volatile vulnerability. He went to extreme lengths to secure Amira’s contract for reasons that only he and Boris know, and he is intensely desperate to keep it that way.

Boris the Wolf (The Silent Shield):

Bendy's towering, stoic underboss. He carries a heavy, ink-dipped fire axe inside a hidden guitar case and serves as Amira and Bendy's primary bodyguard and quiet protector.
