Unfortunately we weren't able to raise enough to stave off eviction by the deadline, so it seems that it's inevitable at this point. We attempted pursuing rent assistance with a couple local organizations as well (although none of them could have covered the full amount needed), but we were repeatedly denied because our landlord may be committing some sort of fraud, with there being inconsistencies with the lease, ownership of the property and property management company. While that's making us feel hopeful about the possibility of being able to push back in court with the help of local pro bono legal services, it really isn't a huge help in keeping us housed in the immediate term. So we are prepping to leave early and rent a new place before our lease is up and (hopefully) before we can be removed via court order, but we need money for a new place and for moving expenses. So far since this post we've raised an extra $190 from a couple of donations. I'll lower the goal from 1625 to 1000 as that may be more realistic in the timeframe, but we desperately need the help. several of us here have spent time unhoused in our past and we REALLY don't want to end up there again. If you can help or just share this post it would really mean a lot!

people love to pretend rap is THE misogyny genre and that for some mysterious reason, it’s the ONLY genre defined by its misogyny. and, in fact, it’s PRAXIS to hate rap and never listen to it. how very interesting! i wonder what that reason could be! can any of YOU imagine what that reason may be? 🤔
