Today's second experiment is in the oven drying... rhubarb stalks cooked quickly in a sweet "marinade" hopefully to become a chewy treat... It tastes delicious before drying, we'll see what happens to the texture! Bonus: I'm left with a rhubarb infused simple syrup. (Cocktails anyone?) #fartoomuchrhubarb #ihadtodosomething #alaskatarian

Experimenting...peanut butter almond energy bites.

In the corner of my yard, but outside our tall fence, sits this ancient looking azalea bush in unexpected shades of yellow and orange. I only see it when I approach the house from the south, on my way home from the theatre. If I were @woolentravels or @seasideyarns or @karida825 or any number of my fabulous yarn painting friends, I'd dye a skein of wool that I could hold and knit into something to wear this color though the dark, blossomless months.
