“I told you, it’s very unhealthy for you to hold back in your little beasty.” Evie said. “My niece had the same problem you did, repressed and repressed until she lost all control of her wild and went out in a rampage.” She whispered quietly. “I can put you in a concealed room you wouldn’t be able to hurt anyone and you can change and release yourself if you wish. Course I won’t ever force a thing on you, but just take in my advice.”

“I don’t see how it can be-” she then paused and took a deep breath “I don’t like being like I am, it’s not what I was raised to be and all because I messed up and was overambitious on a mission...” she sighed. “That doesn’t make me feel good, what guarantee is there that you’ll let me out afterward?” she almost smirked.

Evie sighed and looked down to Esti and looked into her eyes. “I missed you Esti..” she whispered softly. “I thought I would never see you again.”

“I should of been there.. if we didn’t separate you might still be human..” she said softly pulling Esti as close to her as she could.

Evie sighe dsoftly when she changed back and fully sat down and pulled Esti against her and kissed into her hair, gently stroking her fingers through her soft hair. “I’m so sorry..”

Evie closed her eyes and pulled the wolf closer to her nuzzling against its fur and continue to slowly pet the wolf. “You poor thing..” she whispered softly. “I know you didn’t ask for this..”

Evie paused and took a step back when Esti changed. It took her a moment,but she knelt down and gently ran her fingers through the wolf’s fur. “Oh dear..” she said quietly with a soft sigh. “Of course I would accept you..”

Evie sighed. “My sister is a witch. And her daughter was bitten by a werewolf when she was a child. I was the only person in my family who wasn’t ‘gifted’.” She sighed again and was silent for a moment before she spoke again. “I just want you to stay with me..”

Esti took in her words, before taking a shaky breath “Then you have to accept me..” she whispered, giving into her feelings and angers, turning into a particularly tiny and thin silver wolf, ones that other wolves would have laughed at- a runt. The timid bag of fur carefully inched over, like a cat that was about to jump at any loud noise.

“They will stay away from you. I can arrange them not to bother you Esti.” She said softly. “I can teach you how to control it so you only change once a month. I help my niece do that when she was a little girl before we all separated. I can make it hurt less for you when you change. I’ll do anything to help you.” She whispered. “Tell me how I can help you.”

“That’s not what I said...” The woman said, her voice barely above a whisper, she then sighed out “I have tried doing that, but I get worked up and then I just change, I’m trying so hard not to do so now” she admitted, showing Evie her hand and the fact that her nails were claw like. “Your niece?” she then then looked to her hands and clenched her fists, the claws digging into her skin “What if I’m beyond help, Evie?”

“Esti.. they don’t have to know. No one does.” She whispered softly and closed her eyes trying to settle the raise of her heart beat ringing in her head. “I didn’t say I would help cure you, everyone knows there is no cure. But let me help you with your suffering.” She sighed and shook her head. “I’m not keeping you prisoner here. You can go if you please.. just know if you decide to go. I will never bother you again. And no harm will come to you. You have my word.”

“Esti. There are many things I am not proud of things I have done that would give me an immediate one way ticket to hell. I break and bend rules my own way because I own this damn company.” Evie snapped. “My own sister is a witch, and I let her live a safe life. Any hunter gets near her and they suffer immediately termination. Even if she hates my guts and probably doesn’t remember me.” She looked at Esti with sad eyes. “I will do many things.. but I will not kill you. But I will help you.. if you let me.” She whispered, leaning against her desk. “Esti I still love you..nothing of that has changed.”

“Then I suppose we both really have changed...” Esti said softly, raising her eyebrows at the thought, yet she couldn’t really believe it, she and Evie had been so ruthless in the past. “You can’t help me, we looked at cures for being a werewolf for years, it’s probably the cruelest irony that I became one.” she sighed, staying by the door. “Nothings changed for me in that respect, it just doesn’t look good for the leader of the order.”

Evie stopped and laughed softly. “You think I’m going to kill you because you’ve got bitten by a werewolf?” Evie took a step back. “I know what I do is.. morbid. But… when I said I wouldn’t get you I meant it. I don’t care if you’re a witch or a wolf or human. Esti..” Evie sighed and ran her fingers through her own hair. “We all have our secrets Esti. I’ve hidden plenty from this company. But now I understand why you’re so… timid with me now.”
