This listing reveals that the artist who drew the puzzle artwork is Rick Grayson, who I haven’t seen credited for this anywhere else. Grayson also drew the artwork for this Goosebumps game. My scans and pictures of the four animorphs puzzles can be found here.

If you had to pick five Animorphs books to toss out of the series, which books would those be? Alternately: you can pick one book to expand into a trilogy a la David. Which book is that, and how does it go as a trilogy?

These are actually both easy questions for me.

Which books I’d throw out:

34: The Prophecy (basically takes everything from The Hork Bajir Chronicles and makes it stupid and bad)

36: The Mutation (wtf alien Atlantis. why.)

37: The Weakness (the worst Rachel characterization of the series)

39: The Hidden (THE WORST. THE WORST. THE WORST)

44: The Unexpected (makes not a single lick of goddamn sense and racist toward Australian Aboriginals)

Which book I’d expand into a trilogy: #29. The Sickness. It adds a political drama with Illim, Aftran, and the Yeerk Peace Movement and the Animorphs working together. Yes, I am very predictable, thank you for asking.
