Today was the big day: we presented our final results to our wonderful client UWC Maastricht and handed over our project outputs â our final report, 2-page summary and summary posters of our realistic and dream scenarios. All stakeholder groups were invited and the audience was not just enthusiastic about our work and suggestions, but also noted our great teamwork abilities â we agree! :)
We feel happy, we feel proud and most of all grateful - not just for our amazing team, but also for all the support we were lucky to receive over the course of the project, especially from:
¡      Iva, our âpersonâ at UWC who tirelessly promoted our focus groups, chased students and staff to attend and was always happy to meet with us to discuss our progress and questions;
¡      Kate, who was with us for all our key milestones, from the project start, midterm presentation to todayâs wrap-up;
¡      Astrid, aka best project mentor ever, whoâs helpful input and clear advice made a big difference to our project;
¡      Lisbeth, who provided a consistent voice of support and guided us, both individually and as a group;
¡      the Premium team, which connected us all and supported our journey from afar whenever we needed them;
¡      and of course all of our lovely stakeholder groups at UWC â staff, teachers, parents and students â who shared their enthusiasm and ideas and truly inspired us!
To all of you â THANK YOU :-)Â
This is the summary of our work that we provided to the client, enjoy ! Special thanks to Ines for her talent in writing and designing this beauty <3 Â
The Green Dream Team is very proud of the final outcome of these five months of work with UWC! After conducting a preliminary literature research, four workshops, seven individual interviews and many hours drinking tea and discussing our ideas the project is finally done. We provided the client with: - A full report and a beautiful 2 pages summary (we will post it next) - Two posters visualising our realistic and dream scenarios - A wonderful presentation To quote our dear Nelly, âwhy do all good things come to an end?â Well, I guess because our job here is done Nelly, and this end taste delicious! :DÂ
Preparing to present our results!
Weâre nearing the end of our Premium Green Dream Team research! Yesterday we gathered together to finalize our presentation, final report, and our two posters detailing our Realistic Scenario & Dream Scenario. We are so excited to share our results with our client!Â

We are happy and proud to be nominated for the Best Teamwork Tumblr Award. This project was all about being innovative together: designing workshops together, conducting them together, drawing maps, analyzing results, brainstorming, dreaming, creating! We enjoyed these four months spent side by side, as we learnt so many things from each other and together as a team. We did not forget to have fun as well! Alessandra provided us with cookies, chocolate and amazing tea when it was cold, and invited us to her awesome roof terrace when it was warm. It was truly a dream to work in a Green Dream Team!
Our report is almost done! Now we are actively working on making posters to visualize two scenarios we suggest for sustainable expansion of UWC. For this stage of the project, we asked lovely Tineessa to help us out by using her design skills and making our posters look sexy ^_^ Today we all set down to decide how posters will actually look like (for sure much better than on the pictures!). Canât wait to share our final results, so stay tuned!
Yesterday, the Green Dream Team spent what turned out to be a surprisingly sunny afternoon at the UWC Maastricht campus, visiting the residential buildings for the first time and revisiting some other parts of the campus to gather more material and photos for our final report â and of course to be inspired!
As we were preparing for our final integrative workshop, the spring vacations at UWC took us by surprise. Faced with the impossibility to organise the workshop before mid-May and pressed by the time-constraint of the end of the project, we had to change our plans. The team met twice this week to come up with a new plan, discuss and analyse the results of our workshops and transcribe all the inputs collected from the many individual interviews and experts consulted. We are starting to see the contours of our end product and we like what we see!
Last week the team (minus half of my face, hum I will work on my selfie skills I promise) met with our mentor Astrid to discuss how to integrate the results of the workshops and to plan the next steps of the project. Things are starting to become real and we like the shape they take!Â

Final Focus Groups
The Green Dream Team conducted our parents focus group Wednesday April 4th. We were able to speak with the UWC parents group specifically, which is a group of about 25 individuals who gather monthly to cover school related topics and issues. Although 25 parents attended the meeting, about 10-12 engaged with our group by writing out their thoughts and ideas on our various research topics. We were happy to see such engagement and enthusiasm from the parents that participated, and we were able to gather great perspective.Â
April 11th, the Green Dream Team conducted our last and final focus group with mid-age students of UWC. A group of about 12 students met with us to go over interactive coloring maps and posters they wrote their ideas and thoughts onto. The students were wonderful and excited to work with us!
These 2 focus groups also mark the end of our participatory methods. Our team will soon move to our final steps of research by compiling the data we collected, continuing interviews, literary research and structuring our final âdream scenarioâ and ârealistic scenarioâ for our client UWC Maastricht.Â
A few days ago we were invited to be part of UWCâs Earth Hour event. On a quite warm Saturday night, at 8:30pm, we turned off all the schoolâs lights for an hour echoed by thousands of other similar initiatives worldwide aiming at raising awareness about the ecological situation of the planet. We sat down in the atrium with candles and lanterns and discussed about the relationship between ART and SUSTAINABILITY with the students. The informal discussion was truly inspiring as it touched upon the relationship between the planet and the art industry, the egoistic purpose of art vs. the altruistic outlook of sustainability, the obvious inspiration that nature is for art and the many ways they mingle to compose our cultures. We listened to poems in Japanese, songs in Persian, stories about trees and enjoyed grilled marshmallows around the bonfire. Not only we had an amazing time but we also had a taste of what school is like for the residential students. What a magical and inspiring night! Click here to know more about Earth Hour: https://www.earthhour.org/

MID-TERM PRESENTATION The expression could not be more accurate: time is flying when youâre having fun! Two weeks ago we were presenting our work-in-progress at the mid-term presentations event. What a great evening filled with nice food, drinks and excellent presentations! It was very interesting to see what the other PREMIUM teams were doing and to receive some positive feedback from them. Many thanks to our coach Lijsbeth for the picâ

Away from the desk, on to Part II
Moving on from the desk-based research stages of our project, the second part of our research has started: last week we held our first focus group workshop with teachers and staff of UWC Maastricht! We used maps of the school to identify unused spaces and gathered lots of great ideas for improvements in the use of the space as well as around biodiversity, water management, energy and a possible expansion of the school.
In the next weeks we will also be meeting with primary, secondary and residential students, as well as parents to capture all their ideas for their UWC Maastricht - looking forward to it! :-)
