I should've looked at the references more often. I've recently gotten some thoughts about her character, here they are:

Misa is the type of person to throw her life away for someone even when they never asked for it. It's pretty showing how she injected herself into Light's life and then refused to leave even when he was very neglectful. She needed some drive to keep her going and a boyfriend and his family (a chance to be loved) were that.

I don't think she cared about being Kira all that much, she was just grateful for justice delivered in her particular case. She didn't hold any ideological attachment to Kira-ing so she easily gave up the notebook and she didn't care for her life enough to regret quartering it.

I've been rereading IAPTBAP lately and, as a certified Hana appreciator, I've made some Hana fanart.

She is introducing herself before starting a speech in regards to her plans to overthrow the government and at least 8 reasons why she'd be a better ruler than Espen.

I'd actually vote for her.
