Gearing Back Up!

It’s time to start gearing back up for going into the field! I am beginning my plans for the follow up trip next month to Winnipeg! (It’s come up so fast!) This means a lot more analysis of the Ojibwe data, reading some previous work, and setting up some constructions to make sure to get.

Compared to my work on Kiowa over the summer, the work with Ojibwe speakers was TRULY exploratory. There has been very little work done on the phonology of the language, so I basically had to go just to get an idea of what is going on. Turns out there’s a lot! Now that I’m equipped with some examples of some of the processes, I can systematically go through the language just like I’ve been able to do with Kiowa.

For now, I’m dwelling on some previous work on the Cree verb. Cree is closely related to Ojibwe, so I should expect to see some similarities. It should help me get a better idea of the crucial cases I will need!

My restart

Gave myself some much needed time "off" from worrying about calories and so on but ready to restart! Lowest weight- 142 Current -158 Goal - between 105-120 Am I sad? No actually which shows the improvement I've made mentally!
