The Garlic Pirate

Man, i've been rewatching Diamond is Unbreakable with a friend recently and it makes me realize not only how good part 4 is but how it still is my favorite part of Jojo. I'm actually already working on another DIU manga coloring!

Alright so fun fact about my choices for Josuke's color scheme, The red in it has two insperations. One being how on three separate occasions in the anime, the color shift makes Josuke's hair a more pinkish red. Second is that in some of the promotional art for DIU, Josuke had a much more purple uniform with a pinkish/red undershirt. You can actually still see this color scheme on the album cover for "Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town". As for the black uniform? Penguins. I thought of penguins, tried it out and instantly loved it.

Somehow i keep coming back to Part 6 so i'll probably go ahead and do the remaining main characters of the part as well! Meaning that next up is Jotaro and Emporio which i already have a few ideas.

It's been a while since i made art for my One Piece Reverse AU (or swap au, not really sure what to call it at this point lol). So i decided this time to not only draw the full main cast... minus two of them, but also explain what this AU is and how it would work! So the One Piece Reverse AU is an AU that not only swaps the characters of the original story with someone who is the opposite of them (Good is Evil, Evil is Good) but also shakes up the story by altering the different arcs to suit the new cast better. Even in some cases changing the island it is set on completely. Also an important note to make is that Devil Fruit User's keep their power IF they swap with another Devil Fruit User. So Bellamy (who swaps with Luffy) keeps the Spring Spring Fruit and vice versa.

Thanks to me playing Marvel Rivals over the past 8 months and remembering that "oh yeah i actually kinda like the Marvel Universe", it lead me down a path where i decided that i wanna make my own Spider-Sona... which then snowballed into wanting to make a whole Marvel Earth/Alternative Universe lol I have been making art for this horror inspired au since about December of last year and felt like i finally felt ready sharing it with others.

The Fantastic Four felt like a great group to showcases this au so i'll quickly share some of my ideas about the characters. Ben Grimm/The Thing: So yeah, Ben is very much inspired by the marvel rivals design of his character, i just decided to grab his head and pull; giving him a proper neck. Also i like the idea of Ben being dealt the least bad hand when it comes to how the Cosmic storm effected the group. Johnny Storm/The Human Torch: I am aware that i wrote the wrong name, i keep forgetting that Blaze is Ghost Rider. Anyways, Johnny Storm! With the whole "Flame On!" part of him, i thought of giving him permanent full-body burn scars. This is the first time i have actually drawn any kind of scars and i hope that i did a good job as i studied multiple detail guides about how to illustrate these kinds of scars. Whilst i haven't drawn the fire form as of yet, i imagine it would make him into a fire-y sillouette so more inline with how Human Torch is usually depicted or something that looks like one of the Fire Ghost from Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures. Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic: Reed's design is mostly just the thought "What if his skin just looked like it was stretched over his skull and by proxy the rest of his body?" So sis stretching would look very stretchered out like when you pull on a balloon. I will eventually make an artwork of what it would look like because i realize how difficult it is too properly explain how it would look. Susan "Sue" Storm/Invisible Woman: Parts of her body will be see through at all time, but they never stand still, so it's like several blobs of invisibility that constantly trail across her body. She can make these blobs more invisible but not more visible. I'm really happy with how i portrayed it alongside the idea itself given that i had a real hard time of how to make her powers make her look more inline with the horror idea.

Man imagining really liking a series and then realizing that the main character you loved is now one of you most disliked characters. Or maybe it's just that i enjoyed Dragon Ball way more than Z or Super even though i love a lot of the Characters from Z. I have complicated feelings about Dragon Ball lol.

Obviously i mean no disrespect to Akira Toriyama or even anyone who likes Goku as he is. Like i said i have very complicated feelings about Dragon Ball which i am uncertain how i would express it.

So like two weeks ago, i figured "Man, Part 5 was like over 20 years ago, Wonder what Giorno would look like now?" and so i decided to pick up my pen and edit this screenshot to see what it would look like... Not realizing that the very day i was doing it was Giorno's birthday lol

So fun fact about me: Back when The Jojoland (Part 9) started, i decided that i wanted to learn Manga coloring and one of the first thing i did was color a panel/page for most of the Joestar family. This included this page from Stone Ocean. That was about three years ago and decided to do it again, I definitely think i did a better job this time around. Just as a reference, I've included the old one i did 3 years ago!

I really looked at all of Team Bucciarati and went "Ah yes THAT ONE is my favorite" and decided to point to Mr. Wasted Potential. I seriously can't wait to get my hands on Purple Haze Feedback when it releases in my country, I've heard it suppose to be really good.

Story Summary from the Volume: "Hyena D. Bellamy, a child who lived in a uneventful villiage with no dreams of his own until he encountered "Black-Haired" Teach, a pirate who told Bellamy tales about his crew. Now inspired, Bellamy vowed to become a pirate and seek out the legendary treasure, the "ONE PIECE".
