Emmitt and the Columbarium.

When transporting a decedent there are three main containers. The air tray is used to transport a decedent that is already casketed. The casket is placed on a plywood tray and covered with a cardboard cover. To transport an uncasketed decedent you use a combination unit. This unit is a plywood box, with straps to hold the body still inside, which is covered by cardboard. A combination unit is specifically for embalmed bodies. If the body is unembalmed then a Ziegler case is nessasary. This is a metal box which is hermetically sealed after the decedent is placed inside of it. The Ziegler case will also be used if there is significant decomposition of the body.
