NOW THIS IS GOOD NEWS !! A valkyrie book is a sequel that ACTUALLY makes sense. I hope we get all three POVs.
I hope the theory that Koschei’s birds are the lost Valkyries is true. I hope we get another Maasverse crossover (the Stygian spider anyone).
I hope we get Gwynriel. I hope Cassian get his fucking shit together (splintered harmony sure sounds like a bond is going to be … well, splintered. Not broken but damaged).
And that caption for the second book : what was lost will be reclaimed ? MY QUEEN OF DUSK, RECLAIM YOUR THRONE !
Every single post we get for ACOTAR 6 does nothing more than piss me off.
Don’t get me wrong, I intend to read this book but I’m fully prepared to be about as disappointed with it as I was with HOFAS.
People are losing their interest with this series. It’s time Bloomsbury and SJM stop playing around so much.
One thing that truly baffles me about Elriels is that when I think they can’t go any lower, they somehow do …
So far so good, neither the title nor the cover have ever been that much of a revelation regarding the books….
Thorns & Roses was the first soo…
But Mist & Fury ? Not giving away much.
Wings & ruin ? Pretty broad too.
Frost & Starlight? The most telling because of the solstice theme.
Silver flames ? At that point, we didn’t much about Nesta’s powers…
And the covers ? I don’t have them on me rn but they weren’t that revelating either…
So I don’t know what game bloomsbury is playing at. Only the synopsis will tell us what the book is about.

So everyone is saying we’ll get news on July 29th because the Polish translatior said so apparently. (That would mean july 30th for me and everyone in Europe).
Presuming people are right about that prediction, what are we even going to get because my hopes are low…?
I remember reading Haunting Adeline and feeling very confused when I was done. It was impossible for me to rate it because it was so disturbing. I had read the trigger warnings ahead so I thought to myself that I knew what I was getting myself into. I tried reading the second and couldn’t get through it. And it is very rare that I DNF books…
Now, I realize that a trigger warning list does not excuse the content of a book just because ‘we were warned’.
I’m a romance reader and when I pick up a book marketed any type of romance, even dark, I expect to see that. Books have an impact on society, movies have an impact on the brain. And with enough time passed, my thoughts remain from my read of the book : We do not romanticize rape !
Seeing women saying the book helped them cope is beyond my comprehension. They’re either trying to romanticize what happened to them by giving their abusers an excuse or they’re twisted enough that it brought them solace to read the details of SA happening to another woman. Either way, it’s wrong!
And people need to realize there is a difference between coping and healing. There are horrible coping mechanisms and that book (and others like that) are one of them. A book that romanticizes assault, where the victim ends up with her rapist is already bad enough in a book. It WILL have devastating effects in a film.
Dark romance in general is something that has gonz south.
I’ve seen a book about an FMC who killed her own children because she was jealous of the attention they were getting. Another about a doctor fantasizing about doing sexual things to his unconscious patient.
And the most horrifying of all : a few months ago in my country, a dark romance book sparked outrage because the MMC was a child molester. There were detailed scenes of him SAing a 2-month-old baby. The child of the FMC who was in on it. This odious thing was self-published on Amazon and then taking off the website. The author kept defending her work by using the trigger warning list as though that’s an excuse. Recently, she announced that the book would reappear on Amazon in two part, but this tims marketed as ‘horrific dark romance’.
Still marketed as romance !
Where do we draw the line? When did authors decide to justify and romanticize SA? Why don’t people realize how it’s setting women back? How it’s endangering them?
Because they’re not ‘just books’. They’ve never been ‘just books’. Fiction has been used as activism for centuries. As a way to send messages, ideas…
Books like Haunting Adeline are incredibly dangerous.
And as a member of the ACOTAR fandom, seeing other fans defend this book and this MMC makes me sick.
You cannot put down Rhysand and Cassian (for valid reasons) and then turn a blind eye to Zade Meadows.
Dark romance is still romance ! And things like ‘dub/ non-con’ have no place in a romance novel!
I swear they’re going to drop the title, cover and blurb 24 hours before the book releases ….
100 days until ACOTAR 6.
Officially less days before the book than since the announcement ans we have…. NOTHING?!?!
The disrespect continues
Cassian didn't need to say "I love you" to Nesta because he showed it by:
choosing literally anyone ahead of her
shouting at her in public to the point that people crossed the street
forcing her to hike until she collapsed from exhaustion
laughing when she injured herself
- ignoring her anytime Mor was in the room
- telling her everyone hated her when she dared criticize Rhys but when the latter threatened to kill Nesta, he punished her instead
- basically callinnh her a witch in front of the Illyrians
- calling ‘bullshit’ every time she opened up and said something he didn’t like to hear
- believing Feyre and never giving Nesta the benefit of the doubt
-walking away after their first time saying ‘thanks for the ride’
-mocking her choice of books and, by doing so, the way she was coping with her trauma
*sigh* the dreamiest mate

I love my 3 Nesta weeks every year:
1. Nesta week - self explanatory
2. Cassian week - Nesta week but Cassian has to like, be there in some significant way, I guess.
3. Nessian week - Nesta week but Cassian has to be mentioned at least once
Nesta "bullying" Feyre is honestly so fucking tame for a sibling relationship.
Dude, I'm a younger sibling. Older siblings bully their younger siblings all the time. But, if anyone ELSE does it, they will fiercely fight for you. That's just how it is.
And us younger siblings? We're annoying. It's practically in the job description.
My brother has beaten my ass MANY TIMES (I've also kicked him in the balls several times, dw I fight back babes), but in the end, NOBODY ELSE will put that much effort to help me on my college essays, fix my resume, and get me internships.
Nesta said some mean words? Boo fucking hoo. Y'all act like Feyre is helpless. Isn't she the all-powerful Cursebreaker High Lady and all that good shit?
Nesta was also fucking GROOMED by her mother, but somehow y'all forget about that. You also forget that when the FAERIES came and messed with Nesta's family? She went after Feyre in Prythian. She truly exhibits elder sibling traits to a T.
Nesta was never Feyre's abuser. Rhysand was. But y'all will go to the mat to defend his loser ass.

Nesta beheaded a breathing, moving man trying to remove the knife he got stabbed with. This very powerful Fae king would’ve recovered had Nest not decapitated him.
Elain: Assist. Nesta: Killing blow.
Argue with the wall.
Seriously are people making fun of Gwyn because she asked if Azriel could sing???
Guys, Elain looked at Azriel's wings and asked if he could fly.
Do you guys think the next three books will have the same title with just ‘part 1,2,3,4’ written on it ? Or will it have different ones ?

I’d prefer to read about Gwynriel first, but I’d be happy if we dive into Elucien in the next book.
Although I don’t ship, it might be fun to read about Azris.
I could ship Elain with a woman or just exploring life all by herself.
Honestly, I’m really down for anything as long as it’s not E/riel !!!
Nesta didn’t need that intervention, she needed a rage room.
