Spectacular Spider-Man didn't make Keith David a glorified cameo... they had every intention of proceeding with him, but Keith got a gig doing Shakespeare and became unavailable.

I know people hate the part where the mechanics of the penance stare has changed but I think this comic still works even with the original penance stare and the plot will stay the same. Love this issue
