1. Eye Shadow I Palette by RealHer
This eye shadow palette retails for $28.
I’m not the biggest fan of this palette for a few reasons.
First, there are only two matte shades: a black shade and a brown/taupe transition shade. I feel that there also should’ve been a light, matte, brow bone highlight shade.
Secondly, there are three coppery shimmer shades and I’m not a fan of copper eye shadow.
That being said, I really do like 6 out of the 9 shadow shades. I just feel that this could’ve been better composed.
2. 3 Sheet Masks by Biobelle Cosmetics
This set of sheet masks retails for $14.97.
It looks like there was a selection of face masks you could get this month. I got the following three:
#Primer which contains Tea Tree Oil, Rosehip Extract, and Vitamin C. The package says it enhances radiance, minimizes pores, and evens skin tone.
#IWokeUpLikeThis which contains Wild Rose and Vitamin C. The package says it enhances the skin’s natural glow.
#BeautySecret which contains Pomegranate and Hyaluronic Acid. The package says it moisturizes to help the skin appear smooth and firm.
3. Diamond Glow Powder by Artist Couture
I got this loose pigment in the shade Illuminati and it retails for $26.99.
This is my first loose highlighter powder and it is beautiful. I love it.
4. Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick by Ofra Cosmetics
This liquid lipstick retails for $19.90.
I’m not sure what shade I got because nothing on the packaging has a shade name. It’s a rosy pink shade and a little different from what I usually wear, but I’m down to give it a chance.
5. Rose Gold Pro Precision Tapered Face Brush 640 by Luxie Beauty
This brush retails for $24.
I’m not sure what I will use this brush for, but it’s lovely and I love getting brushes in subscription boxes.

Act Two, Scene Eighteen: Hogwarts, Headmistress’s Office
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
This is a short scene that begins with Professor McGonagall in her office, observing that Albus and Scorpius are together on the Marauder's Map. She decides not to do anything about it and is satisfied with her decision.
Suddenly, Ginny and Harry tumble out of the fireplace. Ginny apologizes for the intrusion. Harry states that he needs to see his son. Professor McGonagall prepares herself for an argument. She says that she will no longer try to keep Albus and Scorpius apart. Harry apologizes for his previous behavior and says that he’s come in peace.
Draco Malfoy flies out of the fireplace next. He agrees that he and Harry need to see their sons and that it is, in fact, a peaceful visit.
Professor McGonagall is delighted. She shows everyone that Albus and Scorpius, on the map, are together in the girls’ bathroom on the first floor.
Thoughts:
Clearly the boys are making Polyjuice Potion, but why? And who are they going to transform into?
I wonder if Harry will assume the boys are making Polyjuice Potion, as he did with his friends when they were in school.
Questions:
Who do you think the boys plan to transform into?
Do you think this will be the end of the rivalry between Harry and Draco?
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
This is a short, awkward scene.
Ron has come to Hogwarts to sort out his son, Panju, who has gotten in trouble in potions class. He runs into Hermione, who is now a Hogwarts professor.
Ron has some odd thoughts in his head because Albus tried to convince him that he was married to Hermione. This has caused him to think of Hermione in a romantic way, probably for the first time in this reality.
The two have an awkward encounter in the hallway in which they are forced to consider what things would be like if they were married, and then try to fight those thoughts away.
Thoughts:
Hermione seemed confused and slightly softened in this scene. Ron seemed to rather fancy Hermione, now that he’s had time to think about it. I wonder if that will be enough to push them together.
Questions:
Do you think Ron and Hermione would get together eventually without any further time-tampering?
Do you think Hermione has feelings for Ron, or was she just being nice to him because they’re friends?
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
This scene begins with Albus and Scorpius running into each other in the library. We find out that Scorpius has done some research and discovered why Ron and Hermione never got married and had Rose.
Apparently, Hermione was supposed to go to the Yule Ball with Viktor Krum, but became suspicious that Albus and Scorpius (while pretending to be Durmstrang students in the past) had sabotaged Cedric in the first Triwizard Tournament task on Viktor’s orders.
That suspicion caused her to attend the Yule Ball with Ron instead--just as friends. After dancing with Hermione in a friendly way, Ron found that he preferred dancing with Padma Patil in a romantic way. Ron and Padma started dating and eventually got married and had a baby.
Since Hermione was no longer interested in Viktor, and Ron’s heart was with Padma, Ron never became jealous, and therefore, remained Hermione’s good friend and never developed romantic feelings for her.
Albus and Scorpius agree that their time-tampering has ruined everything, but they disagree on how to fix it. Albus wants to use the Time-Turner again, but Scorpius thinks that they will just make things worse.
This disagreement erupts into a fight. The boys tousle around over the Time-Turner and throw jabs at each other until they hear Professor McGonagall coming to split them up. Albus reveals that he’s stolen the invisibility cloak from his brother, James, and sweeps it over them. Professor McGonagall knows that they are hiding under the cloak, but she never liked the idea of keeping the boys apart, so she happily accepts that she didn’t see them, and leaves.
After Professor McGonagall leaves, the boys make up. Albus apologizes, but is happy they argued because it gave him a great idea of how to fix everything--humiliation. He suggests that they humiliate Cedric in the second task, and he reveals that he has a secret plan to bring Rose back.
Thoughts:
I’m not at all convinced that the plan to humiliate Cedric is a good idea. Cedric’s supporters humiliated Harry in The Goblet of Fire, and that just made him more determined to do well in the next task.
Also, the last few bits of dialogue in this scene reveal that the second task is out on the lake, and suggests that is a problem because Albus is not allowed to leave the school building, per Harry’s ridiculous demands. That doesn’t quite make sense to me because they would be going back in time. Nobody would know that he traveled back in time and left the school building.
Is it just me, or is that another Jack Thorne plot-hole?
Questions:
What do you think about the idea to humiliate Cedric?
Do you think that the boys will actually be able to save Cedric AND bring Rose back?

Act Two, Scene Fifteen: Harry and Ginny Potter’s House, Kitchen
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
In this scene, we’re taken back to the Potters’ kitchen, after Ginny has broken up the fight between Harry and Draco. Ginny stands between the two of them.
Draco admits that he hasn’t been able to connect with Scorpius, just as Harry hasn’t been able to connect with Albus. He goes on to talk about the power of friendship and admits that he always envied what Harry, Ron, and Hermione had.
Draco urges Harry to allow the boys to be friends because it’s that loneliness that causes the evil that created Voldemort and the Death Eaters, and that’s probably the dark cloud that Bane saw around Albus--loneliness.
Thoughts:
Who would’ve thought that it would be Draco who talks some sense into Harry instead of Ginny?
It must have been really hard for Draco to admit that he envied Harry and his friends when they were younger.
Questions:
Do you think Draco is right about the dark cloud being loneliness?
Do you think Harry will concede and allow the boys to be friends again?

This month the theme is Low Effort, High Impact. Longer (warmer!) days are upon us, which means more time to enjoy those fun moments we look forward to all year--and less cause for primping.
I decided to choose a sample because the curated box was not for me.
Keep reading to see what was in my May box.
1. COOLA SPF 30 Organic Makeup Setting Spray
I got this setting spray in a sample size, but the full size retails for $36.
I was super excited to get this because I’m going to Mexico in September. This seemed like the perfect product to take on my trip. Setting spray with SPF 30, what could go wrong? Well, clearly something because this stuff smells STRONGLY of sunscreen. It smells so chemically that I’m almost afraid to put it on my face. It smells like it would burn my eyes.
2. The Beauty Crop Fabulous Flocking Lashes
This sample looks full size to me, but I checked the weight and it is just a very big sample. The full size retails for $22.
You guys know that I’m never really excited about getting a mascara sample, but I have learned not to complain about them because sometimes they’re really good.
3. OUAI Wave Spray
I got this wave spray in a sample size, but the full size retails for $26.
This product really isn’t for my hair type, which BirchBox should know because I filled out the survey. I’m not sure what I’ll do with this, add it to the giveaway bag maybe?
4. M·A·C Cosmetics Strobe Cream
I got this product in a sample size in the shade Silverlite, but the full size retails for $33.
This is the product I chose this month.
This is definitely not meant to be an in-your-face cheekbone highlight. It’s better used as a moisturizer for a lit-from-within glow.
5. Whish Firming Body Cream
I got this product in a deluxe sample size, but the full size retails for $36.
This product boasts that it reduces the appearance of stretch marks and blemishes. I, like many women, have stretch marks, so I’ll give this a try.

Summary:
In this scene, Delphi shows up at Hogwarts to talk to Scorpius.
We learn that Delphi didn’t go to Hogwarts when she was younger because she was “unwell”. She’s fascinated with the magic of the school, being that it’s her first time there.
She goes on to explain that the time-turning didn’t work because causing Cedric to lose the first task only made him more determined to win the next one, which means that he still died in the end.
She continues to explain that their foray into the past also changed their families and ripped apart Albus and Scorpius’s friendship. She urges Scorpius to do something to heal their friendship.
Scorpius still has the Time-Turner.
Thoughts:
I just know Delphi is trying to get her hands on the Time-Turner to bring Voldemort back. There’s no way she has pure intentions.
I’m going to have to eat so much crow if Delphi turns out to be innocent.
Questions:
How did Delphi get past all the magical enchantments that protect Hogwarts?
Do you think Delphi is trying to get her hands on the Time-Turner?

1. Highlight & Contour Palette by IBY Beauty
This powder highlight and contour palette retails for $40.
I think this is a diverse palette. It’s got a variety of shades with different undertones. The first two light shades are good highlight colors for me, the middle dark shade would be a good bronzer, and the last dark shade would be a good contour for me. I will definitely get some use out of this.
2. Liquid Glow by Temptu
This exclusive highlighter retails for $29.50.
I don’t think I would use this highlighter by itself as like a cheekbone highlight. It’s not an in-your-face highlight, it’s more of a glow-from-within, so I think I’m going to mix it with my foundation this summer.
3. Round Contour Brush by Crown Pro
This exclusive paddle brush retails for $24.99.
They call this a contour brush, but I’m definitely going to use it for foundation.
4. Brow Brush by The BrowGal
This double-ended eyebrow brush retails for $14.
I’m a bit upset that a flimsy little eyebrow brush is being counted as one of my five items this month. They could’ve just given this to us for free and given us a real fifth item.
5. Convertible Brow - 02 by The BrowGal
This brow powder palette retails for $35.
I like this brow powder, but I can only use the darkest shade because this is the brunette hair palette. I really think they should have a survey that asks about your skin and hair color so that they can send products that match your coloring.
Act Two, Scene Thirteen: Harry and Ginny Potter’s House, Kitchen
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
Harry and Ginny are in the kitchen having a tense discussion about Harry’s unilateral decision to keep Albus and Scorpius apart. It almost escalates to an argument, but a knock at the door interrupts them.
It’s Draco Malfoy and he’s upset. Scorpius has been crying about being separated from his best friend and Draco wants to know why Harry has gone to such great lengths to keep them apart.
Harry explains that he’s been told that there is a dark cloud around Albus and that he just wants to keep him safe. Draco knows what Harry is alluding to.
Harry asks if Draco is sure that he’s Scorpius’s father. This sets Draco off and they begin to duel.
They throw spells back and forth, taunting each other and making a mess of the kitchen. Ginny comes back a few minutes later and finds them squared up in the rubble of the kitchen.
Thoughts:
Harry and Ginny’s marriage has seemed pretty strained for most of the book so far, due to Harry’s inability to connect with Albus. And now Harry has made a major decision about Albus without any regard for Ginny’s input or opinion. I wonder if they’ll separate later in the book.
On another note, Draco used to be virtually magically incompetent compared to Harry, but in this duel, they seemed to be equals.
Questions:
Do you think Harry and Ginny will get separated/divorced?
Has Draco gotten better, or has Harry gotten worse?

bounding-heart answered your post: “Book Club: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Act Two, Scene Ten: Headmistress’s Office”:
Harry would do absolutely anything to keep Albus safe. He thinks dark magic is returning. He's just been told that Albus is surrounded by a black could. He's desperately frightened for him. And he thinks his plan will keep Albus safe.
I definitely see what you’re saying. A parent will go to great lengths to protect their child if they think danger is near. I just never thought Harry would be so rude to Ginny and Professor McGonagall. It really caught me off-guard.
Act Two, Scene Eleven: Hogwarts, Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
This scene begins with Albus entering Defense Against the Dark Arts class in the new present reality that he and Scorpius created by changing the past.
Hermione is no longer the Minister of Magic, she’s now the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, and she’s mean.
Albus tries to remind Hermione of who she really is, which only makes her angry, and she takes 80 points from Gryffindor for his foolishness.
Albus also learns that Rose no longer exists because Hermione and Ron never got married.
Thoughts:
I wonder what happened to Hermione in this reality that caused her to become so mean.
I also wonder why she would choose to become a teacher if she doesn’t like children--but we asked the same question about Professor Snape all throughout the original books...
Questions:
Do you think the lack of Ron’s jubilant nature in her life is what caused Hermione to be so mean?
Why does Albus continue to be so shocked that everything has changed when he’s the one that went back in time and changed the past?
Use the hashtag #FDBookClub on all social platforms to discuss.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Keep reading for book club discussion.
Summary:
Harry and Ginny are meeting with Professor McGonagall in her office to discuss Harry’s plan for keeping Albus and Scorpius apart using the Marauder’s Map.
Professor McGonagall has some reservations about what Harry is asking her to do. Harry firmly asserts that this is for everyone’s wellbeing. Ginny tries to soften his words and Harry cuts her off.
Professor McGonagall tries to reason with Harry, telling him that he’s been through a lot and she understands how that could affect a person, but he’s making a huge mistake.
Harry insults her, telling her that she couldn’t understand because she doesn’t have children. Ginny is shocked that he would say such a thing.
And then the following exchange occurs:
HARRY: This map will reveal to you where my son is at all times -- I expect you to use it. And if I hear you don’t -- then I will come down on this school as hard as I can -- using the full force of the Ministry -- is that understood?
PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL (bewildered by this vitriol): Perfectly.
GINNY looks at HARRY, unsure of what he’s become. He doesn’t look back.
Thoughts:
Wow.
I can’t believe that Harry would be this rude to Ginny and Professor McGonagall.
Just. Wow.
Questions:
Do you think Professor McGonagall will do what Harry is demanding that she does?
Do you think Ginny will leave Harry because of his recent behavior?

This month’s theme was Beauty On the Rise. This month we’re taking you on a tour of cult favorites, hard-to-find formulas, and one-of-a-kind brands that are making their mark.
I got this highlighter in a sample size, but the full size retails for $34.
I actually rolled my eyes when I saw this because I was not particularly impressed by the last item I got from this brand. I immediately felt bad for making a snap judgement when I swatched this because, oh my gosh, it’s beautiful.
2. belif Hungarian Water Essence
I got this moisturizer in a sample size, but the full size retails for $42.
I’m still looking for my holy grail moisturizer and this looks fancy, so I’m excited to give it a try.
3. NUDESTIX Magnetic Matte Lip Color
I got this sample size lipstick in the shade Greystone. The full size retails for $24.
This is the most beautiful gray-brown shade. It’s rich and absolutely gorgeous. Very unique. I don’t have anything like this.
4. Rahua Omega 9 Hair Mask
I got this hair mask in a deluxe sample size. The full size retails for $58.
I think this might be just big enough for one use, so I’ll give it a try.
5. Tatcha Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil
I got this oil in a sample size, but the full size retails for $48.
I really, really wish I could try this product, but I have oily skin and I’m currently suffering through an acne breakout, so piling more oil on top probably wouldn’t be the best idea. But my mom has mature, dry skin, so I’ll give this to her and see if she likes it.
6. TOCCA Stella
I got this in a standard fragrance sample, but the full size retails for $72.
I usually strongly dislike the fragrance samples I get, but I actually kind of like this one. I wouldn’t wear it myself, but I think I would like it if I smelled it on someone else.

2. Pure Brazilian Shine Ultra Light Nourishing Oil

As I’ve said many, many times, I use oils in my hair every day, so I’m always willing to try a new oil.
3. Urban Decay Afterglow

1. Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials Antiperspirant Deodorant
I got this deodorant in a travel size, but the full size retails for $4.66.
In the past, I was always happy to get this deodorant because this was the one I used regularly anyway. But I recently switched to a new deodorant that I like infinitely more, so I’m not really excited about this.
2. Colgate Optic White Sparkling White Toothpaste Sparkling Mint
I got this toothpaste in a travel size, but the full size retails for $2.96.
I’m doing a lot of traveling over the next few months, so I like getting travel size products that I was going to buy for my trips anyway.
3. Bioré Baking Soda Acne Scrub
I got this scrub in a deluxe sample size, but the full size retails for $6.47.
I’ve been having skin issues lately because of some medicine I’m on, so I’ve been using all kinds of clarifying face products to combat it. This is a great product to add to my arsenal. I’m excited to give it a try.
4. Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish
This nail polish retails for $1.98. I got the shade Soul Mate.
I’ve used this brand of nail polish for as long as I can remember. It’s an oldie, but a goodie.
I got this shampoo and conditioner in a travel size, but the full sizes retail for $5.47 each.
I’m enjoying that subscription boxes are finally sending me hair products that I can actually use. This is a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner AND the conditioner is the same size as the shampoo instead of a stupid foil packet!
6. Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial
I got this facial in a foil packet, but the full size retails for $6.72.
As I said, I’ve been having skin issues, so I’m willing to try anything that might help.
7. Aveeno Active Naturals Positively Radiant Overnight Hydrating Facial Moisturizer
I got this moisturizer in a foil packet, but the full size retails for $15.03.
This is a hydrating moisturizer, which wont be of much use to me because I’m very oily, especially now that the weather is getting warmer. But I’m sure I know someone with dry skin who will love this.
8. Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation
I got this foundation in a foil packet in the shade 200 Soft Beige. The full size retails for $4.97.
I’m not sure that this is my shade, and I’m really more of a L’Oreal foundation kind of girl...but I suppose I can give this a try.
