So I’m re watching Kuroshitsuji II and this fucking happened. I’m dead. 

He was uncertain of how much time had passed while he was preparing everything. It seemed like that had become a normal feeling for the demon. Unaware of the passage of time, unaware of most things around him. And now that he had that sole purpose back, it was almost foreign? Perhaps there was more they needed to discuss, more they needed to acknowledge before everything could truthfully fall back into place. Regardless, Claude knew that orders were orders, and any semblance of their past life had to be replicated, down to the most minute of details.

With this coursing through his mind, the man found himself encouraged to continue. Finishing touches were prepared and everything was perfectly arranged as far as he was concerned. Finally, he was ready to bring Lotus back into the picture. It was as if time had stopped in this very room, and had taken them back to a past life. He found his way back to where the lover was waiting for him, extending a silent hand as a welcome to the past.

             .·•✿ Lotus had thought deeply about what to tell him. Snapping out of his thoughts by the hand that held out to him, he reached with his own and put it in Claude’s hand. Using it to help himself stand but from there he did not move. Instead he brought the hand to the side of his own face and held it there. Almond eyes met golden ones. 

“My love, I know what hangs heavily in this air. I want to tell you. I do not remember it. Death I mean. The time that I was unaware, in that death sleep. I cannot recall my time spent there. I remember laying in bed sick with you by my side… I am sorry it hurt you, it must have hurt you so badly….and then… just darkness… the most bottomless darkness…”  Lotus trailed off. “After that, I remember waking up.. to you once more. Perhaps I was not meant to remember anything in that time.. but I won’t forgive myself for leaving you, yes I was ill but by dying the way I did… by not being strong enough…I’ve deeply wronged you…”    ✿•·.

Holding Lotus’ hand close to his own chest now, Claude merely silently disagreed and let that hang in the air. His own guilt and self destruction would not be out for display right now, flowing in the wind like some unattended laundry. The butler had long since learned to clean up after emotional messes, and his own would be no exception. Instead, soft eyes gazed into Lotus’ own, trying so desperately to remind him of all that Claude had ever felt and ever done for his beloved blossom. Perhaps recalling the good beginnings rather than the harsh ends would put the other at ease.

Claude knew that eventually the facade would have to be broken. The perfect scenario would crack and fall between his fingertips. But before that day arrived he would do everything within his realm of power to deliver that perfect paradise to Lotus. It was the least he could offer after the years he had spent without the other by his side. The demon could hardly imagine what the male had gone through, what he had experienced in his time away from the mortal world, their world. The conversational topic hung heavy in the air, Claude still uncertain of how to best approach it and handle it yet. Would it be too soon? Or would it be too late if he still waited yet another day?

With this in mind and troubling his heart, the man stood up and excused himself from his lover’s presence for the moment. A soft press of lips to Lotus’ temple, and he was off. There was much to take care of and much to attend to if he was going to be a man of his word today. This promise was one that the man intended to keep perfectly.

                     .·•✿  Lotus could read him like a book. He wasn’t unaware of the silent unspoken questions that must have been stirring in his lover, the hesitancy spoke volumes. The long haired male watched as his lover left to prepare things. Lotus stared down at his hands and the truth was, what did he remember? For him it wasn’t heavy so much as a mystery. 

 Though he wouldn’t mention it now, Claude was busy fulfilling his request. Perhaps when he returned, Lotus would open up that topic and clear the air finally. It wasn’t so bad as one might have thought and he wanted to make it clear. Nothing about that time would affect their relationship.   ✿•·.

Claude found himself taken back to those familiar nights of fish and fresh bonds. He could easily recall the dishes and scenery perfectly, as if those years had passed by in mere seconds rather than the lifetimes they had spent apart. There wasn’t much else that had occupied his mind since their departure, and they were easily recollected and brought to the forefront of his memories.

“Worry not, my flower,” he spoke gently, fingers lacing around the fabric of his clothes for moment as he stared so softly into his lover’s eyes. “I will bring you back to that time. Much like you never even left. We can stay there forever if that is what will make you happy.”

                  .·•✿ It was so tempting. To feel save in a place where he was familiar. Lotus wasn’t sure how Claude could recreate it but he wasn’t one to doubt his lovers ability. Claude had proven himself again and again, how dare he even think to doubt the capability of him.  

“If you can do that.. then I would happily agree to it. Maybe someday I will be ready to explore the customs of this new era but.. now is not the time, and I would much rather spend time with you like we used to…” Lotus concluded with a nod. A koi pond, sushi as they used to eat it and staying together all the time, it sounded like heaven. “If we can do that… then… I would surely spend eternity happy…”  ✿•·.

So its time to update my threads and make sure I’m not missing any this time around! my mom: he looks like he wants to die, too. i changed my mind, he’s the groundskeeper.

my mom: I CAN SPOT A GAY GUY FROM 10 MILES AWAY AND HONEY HE GAY

my mom: she does NOT look like a hannah

me: yeah, not really. she’s the maid to “ciel’s boyfriend”

my mom: is he the one who poked her eye out?

me: yup

my mom: he’s a lil bitch then

The offending beverage was quickly disposed of, Claude watching as the darkened liquid fell from porcelain to the awaiting bucket of forgotten flavors. Placing the dish away from their sight now, the man returned back to the vision he cared more about keeping. Lotus still looked rather taken aback by all the flavors swirling about in his head, the man was certain to be overloaded with his palate at this point. Claude had an idea spark at this, knowing full well how to offer an apology for forcing his wishes of assimilation onto Lotus as well as raise the spirits of his blossom back to full health.

“Have you something you miss more than anything?” The man asked, genuine curiosity apparent in both his gaze and dictation. “Tell me. Of what do you wish for most fondly when you think of our past life together? What flavors escape you? What delicacies await you?” He wanted nothing more than to bring that back for his beloved. Claude would use this new information to create a collection of memories to serve upon a silver platter tonight.

                         .·•✿ “There is a lot that I miss, if I am being completely honest..” Lotus admitted. Truly he felt bad that it was such a struggle for him to get used to the new era. It just wasn’t sitting with him well and he hoped Claude knew just how grateful he was for his patience with him. It wasn’t going to be easy for him to adjust and he didn’t know how long it would take him. It was a good thing they had eternity to settle it. 

“Food wise… I miss sushi and all the dishes you used to make me… however I am uncertain if this country has the materials needed in order to make such things..” Lotus spoke quietly, hoping that it would be possible. “Also I miss the koi pond we used to visit together…”  ✿•·.

So it’s time to update my threads and make sure that I’m not missing any! I’ve started a few new ones that I’m really excited about, and can’t wait to really get rolling!
