Padmaavat Saw Padmaavat today, nothing much to say or write. Not a single word or scene to hurt any community or religion. It actually depicts the honor, pride & valor of Rajputana Kingdom & it's people irrespective of gender and for those who are protesting against it, they are just dumbass peeps hanging around and creating unrest in the society. Ranveer Singh once again bang on with his top notch performance after Bajirao Mastani, he is well complimented by steller performances from Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone & last but not least Jim Sarbh for his unpredictablity and mischievous nature. Must watch for all. 4/5.

Definition of politics as said by google means" the activities associated with the governance of a country or area, especially the debate between parties having power." But nowadays it has become a trend among people i.e. it defines what kind of a person you are in society or at least in the social media circle with respect to which political party you believe in or do support or were your thoughts and write ups are inclined towards. A big thank you to Modi sarkar & some of the dubious comments & decisions made by their then ministers or Sadhvi's in precise for helping the left front to rejuvenate & get there foot back in scheme of things or else who would have thought about this in 2013 when left, right & the center were in all out war against corruption that we would witness the reincarnation of left front in India & could also learn these many terminologies that were rarely seen in dictionaries or googled before.

In Kerala, like me, everyone has a degree, post graduation or any professional degree courses like Engineering, Medicine, or an MBA, they choose these subjects out of their liking for the subject or may be "log kya kehenge" or may be due to parental pressure. But after passing out they don't know what to do or were to go,they are not being guided properly by our educational system or simply they lack vision, this includes me too, and they end up in a coaching centre for either a PSC or IBPS coaching ( no disrespect to those aspiring students or candidates who are really into these jobs). And that too because of this age old stigma called "log kya kehenge?" to hell with this whole stuff. Were have our dreams vanished? were is our creativity gone? Is it only about you get into a government job and you'll get to marry a girl with 100 thola gold as dowry or building a 2 story flat and buying a Maruti alto car and showing off. I agree that one is safe but is there something called job satisfaction or personal happiness? I am not talking about earning lakhs but do what you like the most, rather than ending up in between pending files. For eg:- if a guy or girl has completed his/her graduation and pg in 5 years and at last he/she too joins a psc coaching class then what's the point of him doing pg, or for that matter an MBA or Engineering graduates. Everything is not gettable in life but at least we can give our best shot till our last fight. I being a literature graduate what's the point of me being dwell into a subject which I have no idea or not interested in, in my case mathematics and reasoning ability, as I am looking for a career in teaching field. We can't also blame the students or their parents for this, because it's full of politics and money. Talent has no value over financial ability or political backing. In current scenario, in Trivandrum,if i have to get into a school/college as teacher, then either I should have lakhs of money with me along with ample political backing or be jobless. Confused.

I don't know what's the real issue behind the whole JNU protest, but there is whole lot of chaos over there & some people are deliberately trying to politicize this issue & some are trying to mislead people or students. Some national media houses are making this an issue to raise their TRP ratings, need i say more, why they are doing this? because "nation wants to know". Afzal Guru had his part in the parliament attacks of 2001, whether India had sufficient evidence to prove him guilty & execute him was another thing. Showing solidarity towards Kashmiri students on atrocities happening in and around Kashmir is one thing. But comparing the whole Afzal Guru or Maqbul Bhatt issue with Rohit Vemula incident at HCU is mere disrespect to Rohit Vemula. But my question to the student leaders of JNU is If you can support Kashmiri's and Afzal Guru, why haven't you people raised your voices against the atrocities happened with the aborigines of the Kashmir Valley,The Kashmiri Pandits living across many refugee camps in India, mainly Jammu and Delhi. Yes i am referring to the ethnic cleansing of pandits. Up to this, i am okay with it and you are not anti national to me but in the climax "Cheen ke lenge Azadi" that doesn't appeal to me because Kashmir is not all about Geelani's & Yasin Malik's it's also about the Raina's, Kachroo's & Sapru's the Kashmiri Hindu's living in and around Delhi.If you ask them they don't need azadi. But then those who chanted "Pakistan Zindabad" are for sure anti-nationals because that doesn't comes under the so called "Freedom Of Speech" expression and they should get severe punishment from the judiciary.

At this point of time, when i start scribbling about one of the wonderful days in my life, that just passed by, i feel like or wish i could have a time machine to rollback and experience the moments and memories all over again. The dawn of 2016 was full of mixed emotions for me personally, as i was mentally depressed and confused on were to go & what to do after this? both career wise and most importantly to curb out of a layer which was surrounded by lots of negative vibes around. It was one of the most difficult phase or period that went through,it took a toll on me emotionally and mentally.That’s when an idea came through my mind on having a ride, road trip, or just a 2-3 days of sabbatical from regular routine and move out of this city for few days and comeback with refreshed mind. Bengaluru and Kannur were only choices i had to choose between, because i could easily accommodate myself at my relatives place.But both of this couldn’t materialize at that point because of budget constraints and other personal issues. It was a tough experience to think about. That’s when my friend from workplace,Vichu Chettan asked me if i could join him on ride to Ernakulam. It all happened one fine night before the journey. I was skeptical about the whole concept as this was once in a lifetime experience in front of me and it was my maiden ride, So i knew it was a do or die situation for me whether to say yes or no. The immediate response was yes. After a long round of calls & chats the main issue concerning me was the money but somehow i managed it through my credit card.Then on the day of journey we had to change our plans and we drove towards Kanyakumari,as Ernakulam could have been more time consuming.So after having a clear picture of what to do and were to go we started our journey from Poojappura on 8:30 am in the morning and by 9:30 am we reached Chittar Lake, and after spending some time over there having some pictures clicked we rode towards Thirparappu waterfalls. While riding through these places i could experience the art & culture of the old Travancore kingdom. After arriving at Thirparappu we had our light moment of refreshment with buttermilk(moruvellam) and soft drinks.In between we had to make slight changes to our schedule, we had to cancel the visit to Padmanabhapuram palace, as it was a public holiday on the eve of Pongal.After having spend some time over their we moved towards our final destination Kanyakumari.By afternoon 1:30 pm we reached near Nagarcoil and at Gowri Shankar Restuarant we had our lunch. From there the journey moved into it's final phase as we were nearing Kanyakumari & by 3 pm in the evening we reached there.A sense of satisfaction and accomplishment (although it was only halfway through)was riding through our minds. It was time of Sabarimala pilgrimage and there were lots of pilgrims and tourists from other states. We couldn't enter the temple due to heavy queuing. By now we had spend close to 90 minutes at Kanyakumari & in between we had different flavors of street food (goli soda,tea,coffee,sarbath & bajis with chutneys),from the road side eateries, felt nostalgic...!!! It was 4:30 pm in the evening and we decided to drove back thus ending what was going to be one of the memorable trips or rather ride i ever had in my life.We took the Kalikyavillai-Karamana route. In the evening while driving back, it was getting dark and certain kind of breeze was flowing through the air, it was the moment of bliss.I must admit it Royal Enfield classic 350 is not a motorcycle its a machine, damn cool i say. By 6:30 pm in the evening we reached Poojappura at my place from were we started & shook hands promising yet another ride, thus ending a wonderful day and journey. Thank you bro for this wonderful surprise, I'll cherish these moments forever.

Today bumped into the nearby theatre in the city to watch this movie. An emotionally drained out 1 hour & 49 minutes long journey. This being a bi-lingual made both in Hindi and Tamil (as Irudhi Suttru), i chose the Hindi one, as its more comfortable to me. In due course of this emotional yet beautiful journey,somewhere down the line the teacher in me went wet. it was not at all a movie about boxing but a plain and simple relationship or attachment between a master and his disciple (Coach & Player in the movie). We can  sense a kind of satisfaction & emotion in the eyes of master when his student succeeds without him being at the helm of affairs. There is a sense of rawness in which the characters are portrayed or shown as. Although every characters in this film has done justice to their roles, especially Zakir Khan, the antagonist who symbolizes the current politics and corruption going through Indian sports associations or administrations, he’s one among my favorite actors in the current generation, alongside one among my all time favorites Nassar sir.  When it comes to the main protagonists  there needs to be given a huge round of applause if not standing ovation to Maddy & the newbie Ritika, especially Ritika for her outstanding performance in acting despite being a newcomer & and for Maddy he has shown us why he is a good actor while choosing good projects rather than doing the same old chocolate boy characters at least in Hindi. Apart from that cliched ending just like Chak-De-India(2007), which you can’t deny and is justifiable because its in the script and as shown in majority of Indian movies, the good has to win over the evil, even if without that it would have been better. Better late than never in these kind of movies music plays an important part and it has to sink well with the script and screenplay, & in this part too, it has done full justice to the movie, & now finally bravo Sudha for this wonderful movie and script.  It’s a movie with a strong message & i.e. “Kaun Kehta Hai Ki Hindustanion Main Dum Nahi Hai, Sports Main Se Politics Hatake Dekho, Gali Gali Mein Champions Milenge”. So that being said, i’ll go with 3.25*s/05 as my verdict.      

Today watched #Airlift by Mr.Raja Krishna Menon starring Akshay Kumar the actor 🎭😊, Joined by some sparkling performance by Nimrit Kaur,Inaamul Haq , Prakash Belavedi, and Lena. Now that statement sums up the whole when I say "AK the actor 🎭" have seen the glimpse of his acting skills in Special 26, Baby etc but this was something different, no action, no comedy and no punch dialogues and no added masalas it was only AK and his body of work and his hard work to achieve the perfection in which ever way on a script based on a true incident. The lunchbox girl Nimrit Ak's better half in the movie showed why she is known as a power packed performer, Inaamul Haq played the baddy but in a humorous yet meaningful way, contributions from Purab Kohli and Lena can't be ignored. But for me after Akshay Kumar it was Prakash Belavedi hands down, performances like his reminds us that there are still a whole lot of good actors left beneath this country. Man what an acting by this man as a person who acts like being rough and tough but fear for his and families safety from the invaders, a rule book personality. The good part of the movie was no masalas were added to prolong the duration and no alterations were made to glorify the protagonist or the male superior, a good script based upon true story. Recommend all of you to watch it once in theatres doesn't matter if you are a Akshay Kumar fan or not, it has nothing to do with his past performances and for sure you just can't avoid this movie in theatre and judge him by his usual stuff. Feeling inspired by the whole crew and their body of work😊 4.5**/5.👍 #Go4itguys #worthwatching

Watched #Tamasha today. Feeling good. No more guilt or no more repent, like after watching #Talwar. Can't compare it with a #Rockstar or #Highwaybecause this belongs to a different genre altogether. Story and theme are usual cliché but after watching #BombayVelvet , this is a gem. One can't never count this along classics but also one can't label this as a usual masala bollywood flick, this is totally different altogether. A feel good movie in full sense and hats off to #Ranbir & #Deepika for recreating the magic and chemistry altogether once again. One should watch this in theatre's and experience the ambience 🎬. Thank you and hats off to the whole team of Tamasha for presenting us this year ending musical surprise. My verdict: 3.2*/5.

after effects of watching Talvar, expectations were huge from the whole team but ended up being a mere sarcastic comedy on Indian investigation procedure as a whole be it the police forces or the cbi in itself. Apart from Irrfan Khan and Neeraj Kabi nothing much fruitful to watch. Vishal Bhardwaj you disappointed me very much to the core, nothing much about it,just opposite to what they said and written in reviews. My verdict 1.5/5.

Just saw this movie today. This year saw 3 movies that just stuck into my thought process and kept me moving and that drove me into different layers of emotions. From Bajrangi Bhaijaan, followed by Bahubali (Telugu Version) and now this one Ennu Ninte Moideen, a masterpiece in Malayalam industry. Prithviraj man oh man I never liked your acting until something like Celluloid happened and after that you became choosy and you stopped doing lots and lots of clichés' and your career graph went high & now through this movie, you have proved all of us critics wrong. Wish to see you more in this kinda meaningful subjects rather than the usual action flicks. As far as Parvathy is concerned, she just proved why she can handle different kinds of roles and style of acting. Bravo. Not to forget the unsung hero Sai Kumar. Who can forget the behind the scene technicians who made it look real, the whole crew. Prithviraj & Parvathy, you guys just not acted but made it look real and gave new dimension to a love story or a true story in Malayalam cinema in recent times. This one will be remembered as one among the great movies in Malayalam in years to come. My respect goes to the real #Kanchanamala.Though I am too late but its better late than never, so, my verdict will be 4.5/5.

#piku one of the most beautiful, colourful and subtle romantic movie 🎬 to have ever made in generations to come. The Irfaan Deepika combo is really a treat to watch, quite unusual though. Last but not least Mr. Amitabh Bachchan hats off. 4/5*s 

Just completed watching, Jigarthanda. Only one thing to say "Machi semma jorr padam" hats off to the whole cast & crew(must watch). 3.5/5   

Not a masterstroke or masterpiece as people say but indeed a magnum opus in Indian cinema. You got to give credit to the dedication and hard work put in by the whole cast and crew to convey the thought of the director. Theme wise its usual cliché with a slight reference to Mahabharata in it. Personally liked the performances of Kattappa aka Satgyaraj, Sivagami aka RamyaKrishnan and as usual Nasser the genius as Bijjalraja. Apart from that, Rana Daggubati as Bhallal Deva you gave new shades to villainy at least in South Indian cinema, & Tamannaah as Avanthika was sensuous and seductress warrior, after happy days this one will be remembered in my mind. Not to forget Prabhas and finally the captain of the ship Rajmauli sir for presenting before us this hollywood style visual treat and suspense factor in the end on a question to unveil or to get answer on "why Kattappa killed Baahubali?" Eagarly waiting for Baahubali:The Conclusion. I would like to give 2.5*s out of 5.

Feeling enriched after watching PK The Film today. yet another masterstroke from the trio Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Raju Hirani & the man himself Aamir Khan. Nice casting Anushka Sharma done justice though missed her usual latkas & jhatkas like the typical Punjabi Kudiyan . She portrayed a Punjabi girl though this time a bit modern and tomboyish.Saurabh Shukla proved once again that he's master in what he does playing a real sadhu saint.Not to forget the brilliant cameos done by Sanjay Dutt, Shushant Singh Rajput, BomanIrani & Ranbir Kapoor at last. A real sarcasm on the god mans of India, the phenomena called religion and all the other social evils effecting humanity not just in India but globally. Though the plot can be seen as similar to Oh My God but this one has gone to another level because of the man who's known for perfection. Some portions might seem like bit fairy but it goes along because of the brilliant screenplay & yet again the magic of Shantanu Moitra have done wonders after 3 Idiots Movie along with the special Swanand Kirkire. Due to the fairy portions here & there in start and in end i would rate & give this movie 4.5/5. #Mustwatch

It hasn't yet started but i do think that the doors are still wide open & I have that in me to get out.
