2016 in a Glance

2016 was...SOMETHING. It had the most roller coaster events compared to the other earlier years, and for that and many more, I'll be always thankful.

As for my fArt, I have six to show for this year. I refuse to say "only six", because six is better than zero. A part of me wishes I could've been more productive, but a part of me also wants to believe that quantity doesn't always mean quality.

I also want to believe that I've improved. That I'm improving. And that I'll keep on improving. I hope y'all are still here to help me through all of it.

Here's to a fArtful 2017! OwO

Inktober: The Potioneer

I wanted to make something from the 31 Witches prompt, so I used a random number generator and got the Potion Witch.

I wanted this potioneer to live in a world where she could be both extraordinary and ordinary. That’s why she makes her potions in the kitchen and why she’s also a huge Potterhead.

Black and sepia India inks, brushes, dip pens, and Uni ball Signo white gel pens on Bristol.

I’m thinking of putting this up as a print! Anybody interested? OwO

Here’s the inking process video for the for the first of the two magical girl sketches I did.

Inktober 001: Day 2

I won’t be doing the daily Inktober, but will be posting 3x a week. I also don’t want to do any prompts because when I do them I always think of grand concepts, and I might not finish in time. XD

Anyway, here’s a couple of full-body inked sketches commissioned by a lovely person. I finished the first early in September, so it technically doesn’t count as an Inktober entry, but the second one I finished within time. They’re supposed to be a matched set. They’re Grecian-inspired magical girls, with one having the power of dark and one having the power of light.

Also! I made videos of these two showing the inking process. I’ll be posting the link to the first one tomorrow, since I won’t be posting for Inktober. :D
