She hated the sound of that, “Does that happen to people a lot?" Rose asked slightly worried till another thought popped in her head, “Oh my God! How the hell am i going to get back?"

Nikolai frowned as he stared at her for a long moment. He tilted his head to the side for a moment as he bit his lower lip. "I could always take you back, miss."

"The change doesn’t sound like it was a good one," she remarked. “But it seems like you love that place, if you still want to come back to it."

"I do," he told her as he glanced down for a moment. He took a few more steps, looking back at her. "Here we are." He said after a moment. 

Though she hated to admit it, he was right. She took a deep breath before nodding grimly, “Well, then how did I get here? I have no access to any time traveling gear."

"There are several different ways that I can think of, actually." He told her, watching her for a long moment. "You might have slipped through a crack in time and ended up here. That's the only way that makes sense to me." 

"I don’t know…" She furrowed her brows thinking for a moment, “How is this the 1800s?"

He frowned for a moment as he stood there with her. "Look around," he spoke. "Do you see anything that looks like it's from your time? Houses? No planes or cell phone towers or anything."

  “Lovely to meet you as well, Nikolai. You’ve got an awfully sophisticated sounding name. I quite enjoy it.”.

"Do I?" He chuckled a bit, shaking his head. "I believe that's the first time someone said that to me. I believe it's Russian, like my fathers."

She glanced at him from the corner of her eye, biting her lip. It seemed like he really missed this place. “Tell me about it, then. What is it like, there?"

"Well," he paused for a moment as the two of them walked. "It was really a nice place, there's not much I can say about it. It changed though, for some reason. Oh well, I hope to return one day."
