My parents said I was gothic just for having black nails and the combat boots and leggings they hate it. When I pierced my septum they wanted to disown me and they hate my music.

So many times i hid my interests from my family. Cause everything was gay or the devil to them.

My grandma said I was gothic because of my gauges and asked me “are you turning white?”

Saving 20 odd dollars a week by not going to Dunkin Donuts for coffee isn’t going to help when the working poor’s real problem is worrying about being able to still make rent if they miss work due to the flu, so let’s stop pretending like this “junior piggybank savers/guilt the poor out of simple comforts” technique is a viable solution to the problem of stagnating wages and skyrocketing living costs.

Me and two friends got pulled over one afternoon behind my college because we were walking around a nice neighborhood and looked “suspicious.” Some white lady kept following us in our mini van to keep track of where we were until the cops got there and all we were doing is literally strolling around the neighborhood that backed up to our school
