JALEN CHORDS DROPS âMY BOOâ VIDEO SINGLE
Jalen Chords delivers the kind of feel-good record that instantly transports listeners back to an era when love songs dominated the airwaves and every summer had its soundtrack.
"My Boo" is the kind of feel-good R&B record that instantly feels familiar. Blending smooth vocals, glossy production, an infectious chorus, and a standout bridge, Jalen Chords delivers a complete song that recalls the carefree spirit of Y2K pop-R&B while feeling right at home in today's landscape. It's the kind of record that's made to be dedicated to someone special, rolled down the windows to, and played on repeat long after summer ends. Directed with the same playful energy as the song itself, the official music video was filmed in Miami and follows Jalen as he chases the attention of his love interest through colorful streets, sun-drenched locations, and carefree moments that capture the excitement of young love. The visual perfectly complements the song's nostalgic charm while introducing audiences to Jalen's effortless charisma on screen. "My Boo" follows the success of "Good Denim," which organically surpassed 1.4 million Spotify streams and helped introduce Jalen's signature blend of heartfelt songwriting and contemporary R&B. Now signed to Cash Money Records, he continues building momentum with music rooted in melody, storytelling, and genuine emotion. At a time when attention spans are shrinking and songs are increasingly designed for quick consumption, "My Boo" stands as a reminder that timeless R&B is built on memorable songwriting, complete musical journeys, and records that listeners want to experience from the first note to the final chorus. "My Boo" and its official music video are available now on all streaming platforms.

Luhh Dyl Drops "Forgive Never Forget" Video Single
Luhh Dyl cuts a unique figure in his native Detroit. Continuing to impress with new singles in the wake of his recent album, A Time To Hurt, A Time To Heal (ATH²), Dyl ponders how to right past wrongs in "Forgive Never Forget," his new single. Like many of Dyl's greatest songs, "Forgive Never Forget" gets its sonic backbone from an acoustic guitar. Augmented by ethereal vocal samples and booming percussion, the beat by producers LQthabanker and 1patrick.brennan lends a contemplative atmosphere to Dyl's confessional verses.

Directed by Diego, the video takes viewers back to Dyl's early life in Detroit's Brightmoor neighborhood, where he and his cousin pay homage to their roots while reflecting on shared experiences of loss, resilience, and forgiveness.

GIRLSET DROP "CHAT" VIDEO SINGLE
Four girls of four different backgrounds from four distant places came together in Los Angeles, seized upon the fearless sexiness, unapologetic attitude, and fierce fire of Y2K, and sowed the seeds for revolutionary pop of their own. Based in the creative capital of the country, GIRLSETâCamila, Kendall, Lexi, and Savannaârallies the spirits and styles of four larger-than-life personalities around a shared vision. Vietnamese-American Kendall grew up in Fort Worth, TX where she honed her voice as a kid and excelled in ballet and lyrical dance. Born and raised in South Florida, Venezuelan-Trinidadian Savanna went from watching her dad play drums to singing and dancing on her own. Camila was born in Spain, but she grew up in Cuba. No matter where she was though, she had always dreamed of life as an artist. Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Hmong-American Lexi cultivated a passion for dance as a child and pursued singing at the same time. Back in 2023, the respective performers initially connected on the A2K show produced by JYP Entertainment and Republic Records. Chosen out of thousands of contestants to form VCHA, they gained invaluable experience in the studio and on the road with TWICE before leaving this first chapter in the rearview and reconfiguring as GIRLSET during 2025. Agreeing on a new vibe and sound, the quartet came into its own. The world met GIRLSET via the debut single âCommas,â which announced their arrival in summer 2025. âLittle Missâ followed on its heels, piling up tens of millions of streams and views. It received acclaim from the likes of Billboard who raved, âit cements its image as four young artists embracing their power.â They kicked into high gear in 2026 with their single âTweakâ. The accompanying music video became the #1 YouTube Worldwide Trending Music Video and garnered over 10 million views in the first 5 days.

RUM ISLAND FESTIVAL MAKES MEMORABLE ATLANTA DEBUT
Rum Island Festival is a premium Caribbean-inspired cultural experience born in Atlanta and built to travel. Positioned at the intersection of world-class music, artisanal rum culture, Afro-Caribbean cuisine, and authentic community, the festival is designed as an immersive celebration of island culture in all its forms. With a lineup that blends legendary artists, rising talent, and cultural tastemakers, alongside curated brand activations and experiential programming, Rum Island Festival delivers a fully immersive environment that reflects the global influence of Caribbean music and lifestyle. Rooted in culture and community, Rum Island Festival makes its debut in Atlanta with the goal of growing into a traveling platform that celebrates Caribbean excellence across major U.S. cities and destination markets.
The mark has officially been made. Rum Island Festival made its highly anticipated Atlanta debut on Saturday, July 11, transforming the iconic Piedmont Park Promenade into a vibrant celebration of Caribbean music, food, culture, and community.
Heading into the weekend, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution recognized Rum Island Festival as one of the "10 weekend events hotter than the metro Atlanta weather," and by day's end, the festival proved exactly why it belonged on that list. Set against the backdrop of Piedmont Park, just steps away from the Atlanta Botanical Garden, thousands of attendees experienced an immersive celebration that showcased the richness, diversity, and global influence of Caribbean culture.
Host Pretty Vee officially welcomed festivalgoers to Rum Island Festival's inaugural Atlanta celebration in true Pretty Vee fashion, setting the tone with her signature charisma while speaking to the spirit of togetherness and the importance of creating a space where Caribbean culture and community could be celebrated as one. Her infectious energy quickly spread throughout Piedmont Park as she broke into an electrifying dance performance before leaving the stage to join the crowd, dancing alongside festivalgoers and turning the opening moments into a true celebration shared with the people.
Keeping the momentum alive from the opening moments through the final performance were Ricky Platinum, Boogy Rankss, DJ Kalidean, and additional selectors, who curated the soundtrack throughout the day with an infectious mix of dancehall, soca, reggae, afrobeats, and Caribbean classics, ensuring the energy never let up between artist sets.
The live performances began with Global Soca icon Denise "Saucy Wow" Belfon, who reminded audiences why she remains one of Carnival's most celebrated entertainers. Riding renewed international attention following Drake's sample of her legendary 1998 Soca anthem "Work (Put Yuh Back In It)," Belfon had the audience waving flags, singing every lyric, and embracing the spirit of Carnival as she performed crowd favorites including "Work (Put Yuh Back In It)," "Wine and Bend Over," "Wining Queen," and more.
Fresh off the release of his acclaimed 16-track mixtape JamPack and newly named Billboard's Caribbean Up-and-Comer of the Month, Ayetian continued the momentum with an explosive set that introduced many Atlanta festivalgoers to his signature blend of dancehall, hip-hop, and Caribbean sounds. The Jamaican-Haitian star performed fan favorites including "Wha Yo Deh Pon," "Tip," "Balance," and more, bringing infectious energy and undeniable stage presence to the Rum Island crowd.
Closing out the evening, Dancehall heavyweight Aidonia delivered a hit-filled finale worthy of the festival's inaugural year. Performing crowd favorites including "Like How Yuh Feel," "Jackhammer," "Yeah Yeah," "Caribbean Girl," and more, the Jamaican superstar brought the crowd to one final frenzy, capping off an unforgettable first edition of Rum Island Festival.
Beyond the music, Rum Island Festival created a true celebration of Caribbean entrepreneurship through its vibrant marketplace experience, highlighting the creativity, flavors, and talents of Atlanta's Caribbean community. Festivalgoers explored offerings from local businesses including ATL Healing Community, Gailene's Goodies, Tropics Jerk Center, Jamrock Jerk Center, Taquero Mas ATL, Island Delight, Bara ATL, Mobay City, and The Snootie Way. From authentic Caribbean cuisine and handcrafted jewelry to refreshing coconut water and island-inspired rum cakes, the marketplace became an extension of the festival itself, giving attendees the opportunity to support local entrepreneurs while experiencing the flavors, artistry, and culture of the Caribbean.
Festivalgoers also got their first taste of Rum Island's Rum Punch, the festival's signature cocktail that had already generated buzz following its debut on ATL Live just weeks earlier. Throughout the day, the refreshing island-inspired drink quickly became one of the festival's biggest crowd favorites, with attendees returning for another pour while soaking in the music, food, and atmosphere.
From authentic Caribbean cuisine and premium rum experiences to world-class performances and cultural expression, Rum Island Festival delivered on its promise to create an immersive destination where culture and community came together in the heart of Atlanta.
The countdown to Rum Island Festival 2027 has officially begun.
G HERBO DROPS "HOW CAN I LOSE" MUSIC VIDEO
G Herbo continues the rollout surrounding Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition with the release of the official visual for "How Can I Lose." The video further brings the world of the project to life, capturing the unwavering confidence, resilience, and mindset that have defined Herbo from the very beginning.
Produced by frequent collaborator Oz On The Track, "How Can I Lose" finds G Herbo reflecting on the hardships that forged his perspective and everything it took to build the life he has today. He revisits the realities of violence, loss, and hustling while confronting the lasting effects of trauma, grief, and addiction that followed him into adulthood. Rather than celebrating success for its own sake, the record presents it as something earned through perseverance and resilience, underscored by the reflection, "Bottom level, lower than a cellar, I got far from it." Anchored by the refrain, "How Can I Lose," Herbo delivers a statement of conviction, making clear that every victory carries the weight of everything he has overcome. Directed by DREFILMS, the video follows G Herbo behind the scenes before taking viewers through the streets of New Orleans. Blending backstage moments with the energy of New Orleans, the visual offers an intimate look at life on the road while highlighting the authenticity and perspective that continue to define Herbo both on and off the stage. Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition expands the world of Lil Herb, reaching even further back into G Herboâs origins. Taking its title from the very first rap name he adopted as a child, before âLil Herb,â before the mixtapes, and before the music carried his name beyond his neighborhood of 79th and Essex, the project revisits the energy, mindset, and experiences that shaped him in those early years while continuing the story that began on the original album. Throughout the project, Herbo moves seamlessly between reflection and survival. âDNDâ featuring Ty Dolla $ign finds him protecting his peace, drawing a clear line between the demands of success and the people who have earned access to him, while records like âSteelâ and âGoâ channel the focus and hunger that first made Lil Herb a voice for his generation. Fan-favorite âThugâ finally receives an official release after being teased for years, delivering one of the projectâs most anticipated moments. Features from friends and collaborators Polo G, Skilla Baby, YK Dee, Big Opp, and Doowop further ground the project in the relationships that have remained central to his story. While Lil Herb represented a return to fundamentals and the closing of one chapter, Lil Heroin continues the sonic memoir, staying deeply rooted in the sound, energy, and emotional landscape of the era that first shaped his voice. Nearly fifteen years into his career, he continues documenting his evolution in real time, balancing reflection, survival, loyalty, and growth with the same unfiltered perspective that first made him one of Chicagoâs defining voices.

CHELSEA CUTLER DROPS âWHAT ELSE?" VIDEO SINGLE
Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Chelsea Cutler unveils her brand new single âWHAT ELSE?,âout now via Mercury Records. Following her recent releases âBADâ and âSORRY IâM OBSESSED WITH YOU,â âWHAT ELSE?â continues Cutlerâs fearless new era and gives fans another taste of her forthcoming project.
Chelsea recently opened up about the single and her soon-to-be-announced album with a vulnerable note on her Instagram, sharing, âthe last two years have been the two most interesting, fulfilling, challenging, fun, beautiful years of my life. when i started writing this record, it felt like i was living through the end of my life as i knew it. nothing about me or my life looked the same or felt the same. the truth is that in the last two years, iâve felt less like myself than ever and also more like myself than i probably ever have before. i got out of a longterm relationship and went off all of my medications and took real time away from touring and spent a lot of time alone with myself for the first time in my twenties and also spent a lot of sustained time at home with my loved ones for the first time in my twenties. i started taking a more proactive approach to my mental/physical health, tried lots of new things, got diagnosed with OCD, dated as an adult for the first time, said yes every chance i could, moved across the country for a bit to finish the record in california and then fell even more in love with new york from 3000 miles away.â  She continues, âthe last two years have been about navigating a season of life where i didnât feel sure about anything at all. who i was, what i wanted, what my life and career would look like. call me cliche, but i think your late twenties are for deconstructing everything and rebuilding it all with more wisdom, patience, strength, and intention. if i have learned anything, it is that itâs never really the end. itâs just the start of the rest of your life.â  Built around shimmering production and an intimate late-night atmosphere, âWHAT ELSE?â captures the electricity of undeniable attraction, transforming quiet moments into a euphoric pop anthem that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly addictive. As the chorus unfolds, Cutler sings, âSaid you like my clothes on the floor of your bedroom, girl what else / And you like the things I do when I get you all to myself / And I like when you tell me things you donât tell nobody else.â  The release builds on the momentum of Chelseaâs latest singles, which have found her embracing a renewed creative freedom after taking time away to reconnect with herself and rediscover the joy of making music. That period of reflection sparked a bold artistic evolution, one that balances infectious pop production with the candid songwriting that has defined her career.

North Philly rapper/producer slayr has already established himself as a vital voice in modern music, blending trap, EDM & metal to create a vibrant, maximalist sound that some have dubbed âcolorful rage.â In a music landscape so often obsessed with artifice and posturing, slayrâs commitment to a no-frills appearance is unique & refreshing, but his addicting melodic vocals are anything but ordinary.Â
On the heels of a breakout performance at Summer Smash and being named a 2026 XXL Freshman, fast-rising Philly rapper/producer slayr is back with a new EP entitled Avant Nova. Itâs the latest chapter in his mythology-themed discography and a taste of whatâs to come on his next mixtape Fabula Nova. Visual artist HunniGarden, who designed the cover for slayrâs breakout mixtape Half-Blood, hand-drew the EP cover, as well as individual cover arts for each song, paying homage to the Final Fantasy saga.Â
Avant Nova begins with two standout collaborations, with Chicago-based electronic sensation underscores and rising Charlotte rapper/producer prettifun, respectively. underscores co-produced opening track âpromise,â which the two recently performed together at her sold-out Chicago show, and prettifun lent a guest verse to track 2, âswitch my swag.â Itâs the first song to feature verses from both slayr & prettifun but not their first time working together; prettifun previously produced âRacksâ for slayr as well as the beat for his Lunch Break Freestyle on Lyrical Lemonade.Â
Avant Nova comes shortly after slayr announced his first-ever headline tour, in support of Half-Blood and the expanded edition Bloodluxe. The Half-Blood Tour will kick off July 30 in Seattle and includes 24 stops across the US and Canada, as well as CLOUT Festival in Poland, Openair Frauenfeld in Switzerland and Counterfeit Fest in the UK. Within days of announcing the tour, he sold out the 1200-capacity Irving Plaza in New York, prompting him to add a second NYC date for September 3.Â
The Avant Nova release, the headline tour and the XXL Freshman nod add to what has already been a banner year for slayr. After releasing BloodLuxe in March, he was named SoundCloudâs Ascending Artist of April, shared new music videos directed by Lyrical Lemonadeâs Reduciano (âEyesightâ) and MONTREALITY (âSelf Titledâ), and featured on Tiffany Dayâs âCONSTANTLY,â a hotly anticipated collaboration thatâs picked up 2M+ streams in just two weeks.Â

DâYANI DROPS âMISS YOU BAD" VIDEO SINGLE
Jamaican poet and singer-songwriter D'Yani has announced his highly anticipated forthcoming album Live Life & Prosper out August 21 and is enticing fans with what's to come from the 12-track album as he releases his latest video single âMiss You Bad,â.
A follow-up to âJourney,â the uplifting single released in June alongside a live acoustic choir session that premiered exclusively on the GRAMMY Global Spin platform, âMiss You Badâ reveals a more vulnerable and romantic side of D'Yani.Â
The sultry, soul-soaked record pairs rich live instrumentation with his intoxicatingly raspy vocals as he explores the ache of longing and the emotional pull of unresolved love. Rooted in lovers rock while drawing from reggae, soul, and subtle R&B influences, the song captures the quiet tension of missing someone who still holds your heart, even when you know they're not meant for you. The accompanying visual brings that emotional push and pull to life through a sensual portrayal of love, distance, and desire.
When asked about the single DâYani says:Â
âMy intention for the song was to capture the emotional pain of missing someone so deeply that their absence feels like withdrawal from an addictive substance. Through its repeated references to being âhooked,â craving a âhigh,â and ârelapsing,â it portrays an unhealthy attachment where love becomes a dependency rather than a source of comfort. Despite knowing the attachment is unhealthy, there is an overwhelming desire to return, making the emotions feel both heartbreaking and relatable. Overall, I try to paint a powerful picture of love, obsession, vulnerability, and the struggle between wanting to let go and being unable to break free from an emotional bond.â
With âMiss You Bad,â D'Yani continues to establish himself as one of contemporary reggae's most compelling new voices, blending lovers rock, reggae, soul, and heartfelt storytelling into music that explores love, vulnerability, faith, and personal growth. As anticipation builds for Live Life & Prosper, the Jamaican singer-songwriter offers another captivating glimpse into the depth and artistry that define his next chapter.
JAZ KARIS DROPS âTWENTY SOMETHINGâ EP
R&B artist Jaz Karis releases her new EP, Twenty Something, via MNRK Music Group. Arriving on her birthday, the six-track project marks a full-circle moment for the artist, returning to the soulful, emotionally honest sound that first introduced her to audiences worldwide. Alongside the EP, Jaz also unveils its focus track, "Stuck in Sixteen." Featuring the previously released singles "Life Is Unfair" and "FAITH," Twenty Something traces the emotional highs and lows of navigating adulthood, exploring love, heartbreak, shifting friendships, faith, and self-discovery. Rooted in live instrumentation, gospel influences, and Jaz's signature storytelling, the EP captures the complexities of growing up while remaining grounded in the warmth and vulnerability that have become synonymous with her music.
"Twenty Something is a full-circle moment. A return to the sound that introduced me: honest, soulful and rooted in live instrumentation and raw vocals. I unpack the reality of my twenties: love, heartbreak, friendship shifts and faith. Flaws and all."Â â Jaz Karis
The project's focus track, "Stuck in Sixteen," showcases a more playful side of Jaz. Built around breezy production and sharp lyricism, the song revisits the frustrations of dealing with someone who refuses to grow up. In true form, Jaz linked back up with Aston Rudi, the producer behind her fan-favorite "Petty Lover," to craft a track that is equal parts cheeky and cathartic.
"This song is literally about a boy I was dating who I thought would just never grow up. Going back to my petty ways, I linked up with the producer of 'Petty Lover' (Aston Rudi), and we had a great old chinwag which eventually led to us creating this song. It's pretty cheeky and fun... and petty (of course)."Â â Jaz Karis
Twenty Something follows Jaz's critically acclaimed debut album, Safe Flight, and last year's EP, Loud in the Water. She has steadily built an international following, amassing more than 240 million streams worldwide and selling out headline shows across the UK, Europe, and the United States. Along the way, she has earned two MOBO Award nominations for Best R&B Act and shared stages with artists including RAYE, Tom Misch, Stonebwoy, Leigh-Anne, and Jacquees.
Critics have long championed Jaz's artistry. Rated R&B praised Safe Flight as "a satisfying trip adorned with a perfect synthesis of genre-bending arrangements, poignant songwriting and stirring melodies," while UPROXX called the album "a soaring and impressive debut." CLASH noted that Jaz's "warm, honeyed vocals and confessional songwriting" have positioned her among the artists elevating the UK's homegrown R&B scene, while Wonderland hailed her as "one of the most impactful voices in the UK R&B space."
With Twenty Something, Jaz Karis enters a new chapter, embracing the lessons, setbacks, and growth that shaped her twenties while looking ahead with renewed confidence and clarity.
